We loved this place and will definitely be coming back! I had their most popular banh mi (banh mi drip) but the idea is basically a French dip but with banh mi. The dip is a more concentrated version of their pho and super good. I liked the idea and am glad I tried it but the sandwhich itself actually felt more like a Philly cheesesteak meets banh mi instead. Still worth a try! As for their pho - nailed it. Probs my favorite in Seattle so far. It’s on the more spiced (seasoned, not heat) side of the spectrum. A touch sweeter, too. Oh and their Thai tea was super flavorful and had some floral notes. Overall, this spot is a must try. UPDATE: We came back for other banh mi and grabbed their grilled pork banh mi, Thai tea, and roasted hog delight banh mi. All were great. Their grilled pork banh mi is my new favorite in Seattle 👏
Saigon Drip Cafe exceeded my expectations. Both the banh mi and the hot pot were absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and juicy, and the bread was perfectly crispy, making the sandwiches incredibly satisfying. The hot pot was just as flavorful and comforting. The only item that didn’t stand out to me was the spring rolls—they were decent but nothing special. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all great, and I’d definitely come back.
I absolutely loved my visit here. It took me a few u-turns before I got it right lol. If you make that sharp right and the left then just park at the parking area and get out and walk to the corner. Make a left and you are there. Upon entering I was skeptical. Didn't smell the food. However, after placing my order at the kiosk I started to smell my order being prepared. Once my order was complete the lady brought my bag to me. Omg. The aroma was out of this world. I was ready to eat the bag. Now the Banh Mi Drip itself was delightful and cooked with love and freshness. Each bite was a treat that was tender and the dip wasnt even needed. Food was so good I got full on one half and finished the remaining about 2 hours later my bread was not soggy and it was even good cold. I recommend and I promise you will the freshness of this food.
We take Vietnamese food pretty seriously, so to be honest, we didn’t come in this restaurant with particularly high expectations. But after trying the French Dip Bánh Mì and the Bún Bò Huế, our perspective completely changed. …
Nut allergy friendly: I didn't even ask, just assumed a banh mi wouldn't have any problems, and I didn't have any problems. Time to Order: 7 Minutes for a to-go order placed at the counter. They're pretty quick! Parking; Difficult, we parked a few streets away and walked. It's a small shop, but don't let looks fool you. You enter a very modern interior with small fun decorations like a Taylor Swift cutout and a selfie booth. Orders are self-service at two kiosks, and a team works to make orders very quickly. It was packed when we went, already a good sign. We got our banh mi to go and got them pretty quickly. I initially balked at a $17 banh mi, but the concept seemed interesting enough and it was very hyped up by a good friend of mine. The banh mi drip opens up to a baguette packed with onion, beef brisket, and some cilantro. They give a container of pho broth wide enough to actually dip the banh mi, which I appreciated. It stayed decently crispy with a 15 minute commute, but I'd definitely recommend it fresh. Really, it looked more like a French dip than a banh mi. Anyway. It's a genius concept. It's delicious. Probably in my top five meals I've had in all of my Seattle trips. It really begs the question - what else works as a dip? Can we do baos dipped in tonkatsu Ramen? It's like they took a birria taco with consumme and made it even better. It was really, really good. Unfortunately, we also tried their regular pork banh mi and I found it great with the veggies, but very short on the meat. (2.5/5). Skip it. Just get the dipping banh mi. That's carrying their entire score. Would love to try their bun bo hue hot pot. I'd let these guys cook.
