About

Saigon Marketplace is listed on FindALoco in Tampa, FL with address, phone, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Asian Grocery Store.

Saigon Marketplace is an Asian grocery store at 3842 W Waters Ave in Tampa, FL 33614, serving shoppers looking for pantry staples, specialty ingredients, and fresh produce. Its inventory is a notable draw: customer reviews describe a broad selection packed into a compact neighborhood market, with products that can be difficult to find at other nearby stores. Whether you are planning Vietnamese or other Asian-inspired meals, stocking up on everyday ingredients, or exploring unfamiliar foods, this Tampa market offers plenty to browse. It is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., making it convenient to stop in throughout the week.

Shoppers mention essentials and specialty items such as curry paste, canned bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, baby corn, dried mushrooms, Sriracha, tofu, and seitan. Reviews also call out fresh produce, including yu choy and gai choy, along with tropical fruit such as durian and star apple. Selection can vary, so availability of a particular ingredient or fruit may depend on the visit. For home cooks, the mix of pantry goods, vegetables, and less familiar finds makes Saigon Marketplace a useful place to look for inspiration as well as ingredients for a planned recipe.

The store has a compact layout with long, narrow aisles and a high volume of inventory. Some customers appreciate finding so many products in one neighborhood location, while others say the crowded arrangement and overall presentation can feel disorganized. That description may help set expectations: this is a practical market for browsing and discovering items, rather than a spacious, highly polished grocery environment. Give yourself a little time to move through the aisles, especially if you are looking for something specific or shopping during a busy visit.

Customer feedback is mixed, with a 4.1-star rating across 162 reviews. Positive comments focus on the variety, fresh produce, and hard-to-find ingredients; some reviewers have also raised concerns about cleanliness and product packaging. As with any grocery shopping, check the condition and packaging of items before buying, particularly when choosing packaged goods. The range may make a visit worthwhile for shoppers who value selection, while those who prefer a more orderly layout may want to keep the store’s compact, crowded character in mind.

Located on W Waters Avenue in Tampa, Saigon Marketplace is a neighborhood option for Asian groceries, cooking ingredients, and tropical produce. Customer reviews note that it is in the same complex as Saigon Deli, which can make the location easier to recognize. It may suit local residents, curious food explorers, and home cooks seeking ingredients such as tofu, dried mushrooms, Asian greens, or fresh durian. With daily hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., it offers a consistent opportunity to browse its changing selection and see what is available on the day you visit.

Finally! The Asian supermarket that I was looking for. Mesri curry paste, canned bamboo, water chestnut, baby corn, dried mushrooms, Sriracha, tofu, seitan, and fresh (!) produce. The first time I was able to find yu choy in the area but the gai choy looked also great.

This place is owned by the same people that own Saigon Deli which is in the same complex. The store seems a bit overcrowded because the store isn't shaped like a normal market, it feels almost confined but there are many treasures there to …

Typical Asian market that you can find most of your essential but not as clean as you would want a market. There were some noodle packages that had bugs in them and that was a big no no. Would definitely not want to buy any of that!

Great small place with a great variety of tropical fruit. Wish they had the mangosteen. they had fresh durian, star apple and more. Worth a visit in Tampa.

This neighborhood Asian market is large compared to others in this area. Very compact with long thin aisles, messy floors, stacks of boxes, tons of inventory and an overall disheveled look. Located on Waters just west of Dale Mabry, it's owned by the same folks at Saigon Deli and it's in the same strip center. This place in particular looks a bit sketchy when it comes to prepared foods, fresh meats and seafood. Be very observant, discerning and selective. The ambiance does not exude confidence. I do not touch the seafood here unless it's frozen. I avoid most of the meats and only buy the freshest. Tiny aisles give it a tight crowded vibe. You can, however, find just about anything your recipe calls for. It is much larger than it 1st looks, an entire large area of product is somewhat hidden off to the right past the entrance. Even as a seasoned and frequent shopper in Asian stores, there are a 1000 things that are completely foreign to me. I cook a lot of asian food but the main draw for me is fruits, veggies and pricing. Asian products in a grocery store can cost much less in these markets, not to mention better quality brands. There is a goldmine of vegetables that will expand your appreciation of greens but also an enormous variety that gifts a never-ending opportunity for discovery. I never stop asking questions even if we resort to sign language. I'll pick a vegetable and have them point at a meat that pairs well. Since I already do business at 2 places in this plaza, the market offers me the convenience of being nearby when I want products for my pantry or seasonal fruits and vegetables.
