Sam's Auto Shop

Mr. Mike has been my mechanic since I moved to San Diego 10 years ago. At the moment I was alone and taken advantage by couple of mechanics around the area. Mr. Mike is honest, great work ethics, reliable and very good person. Taking it to an extent to message me to remind me I needed to do maintenance on my cars when it was time because he knew I got no knowledge or experience of taking care of cars. Now that I am married we still bringing our cars to him and recommending him to anyone who needs a mechanic 👍🏽

Pulled in to get an estimate on an A/C diagnostic. The mechanic came out and greeted me right away. He asked me a few questions and asked to pull the car into the lift. After 2 mins he determined I needed a few small valves and a recharge. Did the work right away and I was out in less than an hour. A/C works!! Great experience and very reasonable cost. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I will only be taking our vehicles to Sam’s Auto from now on! We stopped in to see if we could get our oil changed without an appointment and Mike was so helpful and they were able to squeeze us right in. They were quick and efficient on the oil change, he also let us know our brake pads had about 20% life left in them, so they didn’t need to be changed right away but something we should plan for in the next few months. Mike was kind enough to give us a military discount as well. My husband has taken our vehicles here a few times now, we would highly recommend Mike and his guys for any vehicle needs including smog inspections!

I would not recommend doing business here. This shop State Refereed me for no reason. They stole my $90 and caused months of work and anxiety. Today I passed the State Referee Smog with none of this shops recommendations done to my vehicle. The Referee even alluded to the fact that they don’t know why I wouldn’t have passed. Do not do business at this shop.

What was supposed to be a 5 minute DIY for me turned into an hour long ordeal. I went to change my battery and to my horror my negative terminal was so corroded you couldn't see it. I couldn't get the terminal off and so I needed a new one. I called Sam's auto to see if they could fit me in. As a nurse and mom, my life is busy! Mike answered the phone and he was able to help me within 30 minutes of my call. He not only changed my terminal and battery, but gave me a heads up on a few things I needed to address. (I knew valvoline wasn't properly checking the status of fluids and stuff when I got my oil changes, but I didn't think they'd overlooked so many things.) I'll be bringing my car back here any time I need something done. If you're looking for a trustworthy and reasonable auto shop, this is the one!
