Shahi IndoPak Groceries

Bought pomfret fish from this store for the first time, the fish were kept frozen in their store. Before checkout I did ask the store manager how old their meat is and they said 1-2 weeks not more than that. Brought it home defrosted it and 2 out of 3 fish were spoilt. Tried to call their store and mentioned about the spoilt fishes, employee said let me transfer you to our manager and hung up. Tried calling them back more than couple times through the day and they were not answering the call. May be they do see the number and did not want to respond. Please think twice before buying meat from them.

Nice clean organized store. Staff are polite, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Vast variety of fresh IndoPak groceries, fruits Vegetables and supplies. Convenient safe parking.

Shahi IndoPak Groceries is shining example of quality. Last time we visited was specifically for a brand of rice that we cannot find anywhere else in San Antonio. The staff if always helpful and kind. Grab a samosa (if they have them) 0n the way out the door.... Your tummy will dance with joy :)

The store is generally well-maintained and offers a good selection, but I have concerns about the halal meat section. I noticed that some meat packages had multiple labels layered over each other, particularly on the packed date. This raises concerns about transparency and freshness. I hope management addresses this issue to maintain customer trust.

I also appreciate that they stock a range of unique and hard-to-find items that you can’t get at regular grocery stores. Whether it’s a special masala, chutney, or even traditional sweets, you’ll find it here! Highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves South Asian cuisine, halal meats, or just wants to try something new. It’s my go-to grocery store in San Antonio now!
