Simply Banh Mi

I should’ve known that this place is more catered to Western tastes when I noticed the owner does not pronounce “bánh mì” using Vietnamese tones. I’ve tried Bánh Mì Oi, Bánh Mì DC, and Le Bledo. This one is by far my least favorite. The bread is lacking in structure and taste. The pate was poorly spread. The fillings are the worst offender- I got the cold cuts bánh mì and received what looked like deli ham? There was a slice of chả lụa at least, though it was a thin sliver. But no giò thủ or thịt nguội. On top of that, they really skimped on the fillings, even the veggies! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to order a sandwich here. I’m glad I shared this with my husband and didn’t have a full one. I’d hate for someone to try their first bánh mì here; you can drive 15 mins to Bánh Mì Oi and get the best in the area!

Amazing banh mi and Pho!! Came here during the summer and during the winter storm and amazing both times for both weathers! The customer service is awesome and the owner makes you feel so welcomed, rare to see that kind of service. We got the Lemon Chicken banh mi and the spicy Lemongrass beef pho. These pictures don’t do it justice. It was the perfect amount of food. There are Sriracha bottles and hoisin sauce on all tables for you to use with your meal. The aesthetics of the place were beautiful from the outside to the inside. It being halal so it’s quality meat! Would definitely recommend and would come back again.

Simply Banh Mi exceeded expectations. The staff was genuinely welcoming and attentive from the moment I walked in, which made the whole experience better. The food was outstanding, fresh bread with the perfect crunch, high quality ingredients, and everything was well balanced and flavorful. You can tell they care about consistency and doing things right. The place was clean, service was fast, and the overall vibe was great. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to and highly recommend.

Sandwiches 🥪 were not bad, but far from the best compared to other Vietnamese locations in Arlington. A few items on the menu were absent. Service was good, but in the cleanness of the place could be better. Paid parking 🅿️ can be found on the streets near by. Overall star ⭐️ rating is 6.5 out of 10 …

A friend and I enjoyed lunch here on a weekday early afternoon when one of the cooks had not shown up for work. The counter guy was upfront about a wait of half an hour but we had no place to be and settled into a comfortable booth to wait. As promised, half an hour later the food was served, and it was perfectly prepared and tasty. My garlic shrimp vermicelli bowl included salad and a delicious peanut sauce that I clearly should have ordered more of. The shrimp were both plentiful and cooked perfectly. My friend's lemongrass chicken banh mi sandwich came on a tasty baguette with all the standard accompaniments; she enjoyed it thoroughly. We will definitely return but will check on the wait time for food first.
