Sign in to reviewI have been coming to Skyline for several years now; I even moved over an hour away and still made the drive. I was extremely disappointed in my services today and honestly, will not be back. I am not sure if the ladies that worked on me were new, but my hope is that my issues will be addressed for the next client. I received a CBD Pedicure, as I have numerous times before, a take-off of a Gel X set, and a regular manicure (I wanted to give my nails a break before my next set). The take-off started off not great as I noticed the lady attempting to take my nails off tried to do so with another fake nail and that would’ve been fine if it worked, but when she got to my thumb nail on the first hand (right) she was taking off, it began to rip my natural nail off of the nail bed. The lady doing my manicure only stopped because I winced in pain from it. While still in the process of taking off the nails on my right hand, she began clipping, filing down, and then soaking the left hand (Which I was under the impression was the correct way to take off the nails in the first place). We continued with the manicure and at the time I did not realize how badly my nail was ripped off the nail bed, just that it hurt to the touch (I only knew because she kept messing with it). My once relaxing spa time turned into my worst nightmare as I could not relax fully anymore due to my nail hurting so bad and the stress of not knowing if I will be able to get a new set in time for a wedding I have to go to this month. It was obvious after I was upset about the situation and I guess the lady attempted to make it better by offering me “special” services, her words not mine, which included a hand massage (I informed her since I receive the CBD pedicure a neck, arm, & hand massage come with it, so that wasn’t special), then she included some hot towels…could’ve done without and would have much rather my nail be attached to the bed still. She also opted in to do my actual massage for the CBD pedicure and it felt severely rushed. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with my experience as I didn’t even get asked for my # to retain any points, the manicure didn’t even fully take off the glue from the gel x set AND she didn’t clip/file my nails to the same length, my rushed CBD massage, the “special” services as a poor attempt to make-up for the horrible job done, and on top of everything else, she attempted to put a gel x clear coat on my damaged nail - I told her no after she put on what she said was alcohol and told me it was suppose to burn; I still refused and she said it was fine and would be fine..I told her again no, I did not want because if she was to put chemicals and then a UV light on, I know it would burn more. To have come here for 5+ yrs and not even be known for real makes me sad to think this place has become all about the $. I originally came here because I always felt so welcomed. It was apparent from the last time (Near Mother’s day & Today) that I am not truly seen as the lady who owns the spa with her husband asked me again about my mother. I let it go the first time because it was around Mother’s Day and I figured she was just being nice and caught up with a lot of business…My mother passed away 6 yrs ago. Good luck with future business, truly.
Nikki is absolutely amazing! She’s so talented, professional, and really takes her time to make sure my nails are perfect. My sets always come out beautiful and last a long time. She’s also super friendly and makes every appointment a great experience. I always leave happy and get so many compliments on my nails. Highly recommend Nikki if you want quality work!
I went to this nail salon last week to get a gel overlay on my nails and a polish change on my toes. In less than 48 hrs my nail chipped.. then a week later another nail chipped. The length of my nails were not the same, I had to keep asking the tech to fix it. It’s only been a week and it already looks like I need a fill in. I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone. This was my first time visiting this shop and it was definitely my last. Then the owner has the nerve to act like I didn’t come to their salon to get this service done. Like the only reason they “can’t find me in their system is bc I didn’t provide my number at the end of check out due to how long it took them to even check me out for the two services I received. The lack of accountability is ridiculous. My nails look a MESS. They don’t even look like they were done a week ago.
From the moment you walk into this salon, you’re treated like a valued guest. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and immediately puts you at ease. What truly sets this place apart is the attentiveness of the owner, you can tell he genuinely cares about every single client’s experience and goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are comfortable and everything runs smoothly. The nail techs here are incredible. They really take the time to listen to exactly what you want and pay close attention to every little detail. You never feel rushed, and they make sure you leave completely happy with your nails. That level of care and precision is hard to find. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, which makes each visit feel special. It’s not just about getting your nails done, it’s the whole experience. And I have to give a special shoutout to my tech, Nikki. I absolutely love her! She consistently does an amazing job and always brings my vision to life perfectly. I drive almost 40 minutes just to come here, and it is 100% worth it every single time. The customer service is unmatched, and I leave completely satisfied after every visit. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
I walked in for a pedicure and waited 30 minutes before even being acknowledged by staff. Someone comes by and said give me a second to get ready. 10 minutes go by and then he leads me to chair, assuming we would get started. Water was filling up the tub and the person walked away. Another tech had to turn it off (who was working on a client next to me). I look around and the guy went back to the front desk checking people in. I wish they would’ve told me it would’ve been at least a 30 min wait if no one was available. I waited another 10 minutes sitting in the pedicure chair praying I wouldn’t have to leave and waste all that time. No one came by, and I just decided to leave. The same guy says sorry to me as I leave. Won’t be back.
