Sign in to reviewLADO! This man needs a raise😇👏🏼I moved to Poway recently and have had the pleasure of having Lado help me everytime I’ve come in. I especially remember the first time when I saw him run inside bc cashiers were low staffed and he was on it! His hard work DOES NOT go unnoticed. I appreciate him, his kindness and always helping without hesitation.
I generally do and have liked Smart & Final quite a bit. They have good prices on many items. However, last time I went and got alcohol, they took my ID from my hands and scanned it into their system. There is no valid reason to do this other than to sell my data. They need to end this practice immediately. I will not be returning for a while until this ends.
This store has a good selection with the breadth you would expect from a more budget grocery store, and the pricing is good. My biggest issue is that there's often a long line at checkout. I personally never need many things, but the employees don't seem to care all that much about alleviating the lines- I suppose you get what you pay for, though. This is the closest grocery store to me, but I'll avoid it for this reason. Maybe they'll get a 10 items or less register soon?
Agree that it's a very convenient and quick place to buy staples like milk, eggs, and bread. If you're looking for fancy, go down the street somewhere else. These guys have it quick, their customer service is always friendly and helpful. It's truly like a little neighborhood market. It has saved me on multiple occasions.
Bought a 10 lb bag of russet potato. Not good quality. Old and starts to get moldy. When they say it's on sale... Beware of the junk! Dec 8, 2023 Cucumbers appeared to be partially frozen. Broccoli crowns turned brown under decaying progress. Talked to a manager a week ago regarding the sad shape of veggies, and she said to talk to people in produce dept to take care of items unfit to sell. Nothing changed. 2/21/24 now they require you reset password each time you log in. Ridiculous. The savings is not worth time and effort to look at digital coupons. Shop elsewhere.
