Smile Care Dental is a dentist in New Orleans, Louisiana, located at 14401 Chef Menteur Hwy # B, New Orleans, LA 70129. The practice is a local option for people looking for dental care in the area, whether they are returning for a checkup or have a specific concern to discuss. Its listed hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the office is closed Wednesday and on weekends. With a 4.7 rating from 179 reviews, Smile Care Dental has received many positive comments, while individual experiences can naturally differ.

Patients describe appointments that include explanations of dental findings and guidance on prevention. One reviewer who returned after six years appreciated having minor concerns explained and learning steps to help maintain dental health. That kind of walk-through can be useful if you want to understand what a dentist notices and what you can do next, rather than leave with unanswered questions. A review also mentions Dr. Tran noticing a spot on the patient's tongue. The account reflects a careful observation during a dental visit, but it should not be taken as a promise about what every appointment will include.

Wisdom tooth removal is another service mentioned in customer feedback. Reviewers describe coming in for extractions, including one who said they received prompt help after requesting an appointment the next day. Another shared a positive account of being in and out after having wisdom teeth pulled. If you are seeking care for wisdom tooth pain or considering an extraction, contact the practice to ask about availability, the evaluation process, and options for your situation. Reviews can offer useful context, but they do not establish what treatment is appropriate for an individual.

The feedback also highlights the people patients encounter. Customers have praised the team's kindness and professional manner, and one reviewer thanked Dr. Gabrielle for listening patiently to concerns while working on their smile. These comments suggest an experience that some patients find reassuring and attentive. A separate review describes a less satisfactory interaction around a painful wisdom tooth and a request for sedation, so it is sensible to bring up discomfort, concerns, and treatment preferences clearly and ask questions before proceeding. Good dental care depends on a clear conversation between patient and provider.

For anyone comparing dentists in New Orleans, Smile Care Dental may be worth considering if you value explanations, preventive guidance, or want to discuss wisdom teeth and smile-related care. The address is on Chef Menteur Highway, and the listed weekday schedule offers several daytime appointment options. Call or contact the office directly to confirm current hours, appointment availability, and whether the services you need are offered. Sharing your symptoms and questions when scheduling can help the team understand what you hope to address and guide you on an appropriate next step.

The clinic provided a very thorough and forward dental experience. After returning to them as a patient in six years, they made sure to explain and walk me through the slight issues with my teeth and even preventative measures to maintain my teeth health. Dr. Tran noticed a spot on my tongue and took the time to investigate the possible causes and whether there were any concerns. I appreciated my visit and my dental care being so carefully handled. Shoutout to Dr. Joanne, Nina, and Tu Quyen.

I went in to get my wisdom teeth pulled about a week ago. I told them I was in excruciating pain and needed them removed. They said ok and did x-rays to look for a problem after I told them what it was. After that I told them I’d like to be put to sleep and they might have use a heavier dosage of anesthesia because I’ve woken up under it before during previous surgery. They didn’t not listen again and I woke up during the process while they were removing the teeth and cut that inner side of my gums open.
