Soo Ja Fusion Bistro is a casual Korean restaurant in Fremont, CA, located at 6038 Stevenson Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538. With a 4.3 rating from 237 reviews, it has become a familiar stop for Bay Area diners looking for Korean comfort food with enough variety to make ordering feel like part of the experience. The menu leans into generous, shareable dishes and familiar favorites, making it a practical choice for friends, coworkers, families, or anyone craving a warm Korean meal in Fremont.
One of the dishes customers call out most is Dak Galbi, the spicy stir-fried chicken dish that can be hard to find at many local Korean spots. Reviewers describe Soo Ja Fusion Bistro's version as flavorful and well prepared, with a sauce that brings the dish together alongside vegetables and rice cakes. Chicken is another recurring favorite, especially the sweet and spicy wings with peanuts in the sauce for a little extra kick, plus garlic wings for diners who want something savory and easy to share. For a meat-free starter or side, the vegetarian pancake is also mentioned positively.
Beyond wings and Dak Galbi, the restaurant is a good fit for classic Korean plates that feel filling without being overly formal. Guests have pointed to the bulgogi rice plate, fried rice, and soups as reasons they would return, with some portions described as large enough to share. That makes Soo Ja Fusion Bistro especially useful when a group wants several dishes on the table: a sizzling spicy entree, something crispy, a rice dish, and a comforting soup. The choices can feel wide on a first visit, so browsing the menu with a few shared plates in mind is a smart approach.
The atmosphere is simple and casual rather than polished or fancy. Some diners find the room a little cool in feel, while others focus more on the food, portion sizes, and convenient Fremont location. Service reviews are mixed but generally practical: guests mention kind or quick help, along with occasional missed plates or less guidance than expected. In that sense, the restaurant is best approached as an easygoing neighborhood Korean spot where the strongest draw is the food itself.
For local searchers comparing Korean restaurant options in Fremont, California, Soo Ja Fusion Bistro stands out for specific cravings: Dak Galbi, saucy wings, bulgogi rice, fried rice, Korean soup, and vegetarian pancake. Hours vary by day, with lunch service Tuesday through Saturday and evening service on Sunday and Monday, so it is worth checking the schedule before heading over. If you are near Stevenson Boulevard and want a casual Korean meal with shareable plates and a solid local review base, Soo Ja Fusion Bistro is a dependable name to keep on your Fremont list.

Sign in to reviewPSA: they have Dak Galbi here now and its pretty good! I guess tbh it could use a bit more chicken compared to vegetables and rice cakes but the sauce and the preparation otherwise is pretty legit. I would probably normally give this 4 stars but I really love Dak Galbi and its usually non-existent or quite disappointing so I was very excited they had it! Service was really friendly too.
Loved every plate. Wings in sweet and spicy sauce are very good, peanuts in the sauce gives them a nice kick. Vegetarian pancake is very good too. Service is good, they forgot one plate but worked on it pretty quick. A little cold ambience for me.
One of many Korean restaurants in the Bay Area we had to try on our list. This one had a good list of choices and their dishes were pretty big except the chicken wings which always seem to always take the longest to cook. The garlic wings were good but some pieces so tiny that they should not count towards the fifteen pieces. The seafood pancake was good flavor and good size. I really liked the kimchi fried rice, spicy pork and Premium LA Kalbi. The Steamed Egg had no flavor and it had too much soup in it which I thought was weird. We ordered sodas and their Lychee Cocktail for twenty bucks which was a carafe pitcher size. It was pretty good and strong; nothing fancy. We also ordered Bibimap which was pretty big. Choice this Korean restaurant for mom's bday and was satisfied. The prices were on the expensive side. Not a place for a date as it's loud here but good for groups and drinking. Service is ok. They forgot one of our items but at least, they didn't charge us; we did have a big group though. Haha they even told us politely that we had to go as they had awaiting customers. The place is small, and can get crowded fast so I recommend to come early but lots of parking available.
The food was delicious but hard to choose. It was my first time at this restaurant, and I asked the server for advice, but he wasn't helpful at all. Definitely would go back for the fried rice, and the soup was pretty good, but too much for two people. When it was time to get our bill, the server was very short with us and practically tossed things onto the table. I understand they were busy, but it wasn't our fault.
Went here last night after picking up a friend and running 4 miles. I got the bulgogi rice place because I haven't had bulgogi in a while. Pretty good! Waitress was nice too. I'd come back again
