Spa Casual

Spa Casual is a massage therapist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, located at 1726 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19103. For people looking for a massage in a central Philadelphia location, customer feedback describes a welcoming place with reasonable prices and practitioners who can explain their approach. The business has a 4.6-star rating from 37 reviews. Guests mention sessions focused on the back, general relaxation, and specific areas of discomfort, making Spa Casual a local option for people who want to discuss what their body needs during a massage rather than choose a one-size-fits-all experience.

Communication is a recurring positive detail in reviews. One guest praised Sophie for explaining why she used particular techniques and for working through minor aches and injuries related to bouldering. Another described the session as collaborative: the therapist noticed areas of pain, talked through the work in real time, and helped identify what the guest needed. Reviewers also mention Sophie’s kind, welcoming manner and positive energy. These experiences may appeal to guests who value clear conversation about techniques and areas of focus before and during their massage.

Back work and relief from tension are among the specific experiences customers describe. A guest who booked a 30-minute massage said Jenny worked on their back and that they felt relaxed and comfortable afterward. Reviews also describe practitioners addressing individual pain points and adapting the session to the guest’s concerns. Pressure and comfort can be personal, however: one reviewer reported that the pressure felt too hard despite asking for an adjustment several times. If you have preferences about pressure or a particular area, it may help to state them clearly and speak up during the session so your therapist can respond.

Spa Casual is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Its Sansom Street address and the reasonable pricing noted by customers make it convenient to consider when looking for a massage therapist in Philadelphia. Feedback is not identical for every visit, so prospective guests can use the 37 reviews and 4.6-star rating as context, while keeping their own needs and comfort in mind. Whether you are seeking a shorter session, back-focused work, or a practitioner willing to explain techniques, Spa Casual offers a local place to ask about the approach that feels right for you.
