You should feel lucky that this store or place exists. They are running at a 10-year-old pricing model. This is the perfect hole in the wall that will not make me miss back home. Authentic dishes. They also have an Indian grocery store attached. Highly recommend.

Only vegan or vegetarian food. The food in my plate was abundant. If you are a vegan or vegetarian is a wonderful place to eat, but if you are capsaicin-intolerant just try dishes that are not spicy. Because Indian food is truly hot. I can eat at the level of 8,000 units in the Scoville Scale, Indian food is in the 20,000 to 1,000,000 range. Do your research before you eat it. You don't want to have side effects, like stomach aches, the runs or tachycardia, because you are not used to it. Their lunch/dinner combo, includes a mango lassi, a salad, rice (white or yellow), 2 vegan dishes, 1 potato/peas somosa (delicious and not too hot), 1 flat bread, and a complementary yogurt sauce of your choice. You will not leave hungry. All for some $14.50. They also have a large variety of Indian desserts and sweets. The market is a shopper's dream. It is like a warehouse. They have a large variety of Indian edibles, pots and wares for their preparations, and the best incense supply I have ever seen in my life. Enjoy your time there. Be willing to spend some 2 hours or more.

So delicious and filling at such an incredible value! One of the best bang for your buck meals in LA hands down. The attached shop is well stocked and also has very reasonable prices.

We recently visited Spice District, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The service was excellent, and the new owner, Hardeep, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The store is currently undergoing major renovations and expansion, so some products were temporarily difficult to locate, and there was some construction dust. However, Hardeep and the staff went out of their way to guide us and help us find everything we needed. It's exciting to see the vision for the new Spice District. The expanded store promises to offer a wider selection of products, a cleaner environment, and a much more organized shopping experience. We are looking forward to seeing the finished result. We also had the opportunity to try the food from their restaurant, and it was delicious. We ordered from the South Indian menu, and the masala dosa was excellent, served with flavorful sambar and fresh chutneys. Their specialty samosas were outstanding and tasted truly authentic. We also tried several sweets, which were fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to end the meal. What stood out most was the combination of great customer service, authentic food, and the passion the new ownership is putting into improving the store. We highly recommend Spice District to anyone looking for quality Indian groceries and authentic Indian cuisine. We will definitely be returning!

India Sweets and Spices offers delicious and affordable food, making it a great option for students and anyone on a budget. The quality and taste are consistently good, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I often stop by for tea (chai) and fresh samosas, and the experience is always pleasant. Malika is especially kind and helpful. Recently, I brought my son here to try chole bhature, and he absolutely loved it—he even said, “Papa, I give it 10 stars ⭐️!”
