Sue's Produce Market is a neighborhood produce market at 114 S 18th St in Philadelphia, PA. Customer reviews describe a small grocery with fresh Korean prepared foods alongside produce and other market staples. For shoppers looking for kimchi, kimbap, fruit smoothies, or a convenient place to pick up groceries, it offers several options in one stop. The market has a 4.7-star rating from 109 reviews, though experiences shared by customers vary, especially regarding produce quality and how clearly some items are priced.
Homemade kimchi is a standout reason some customers make a special trip. Reviews mention a variety of kimchi and side dishes, with one shopper praising the freshness and spiciness compared with products at a large Asian grocery store. Others call out kimbap, japchae, and additional Korean foods as appealing prepared options. These details make Sue's Produce Market worth considering for people who want to browse Korean dishes while shopping for produce and everyday groceries. Selection and availability can change, so customers looking for a particular item may want to check what is on the shelves during their visit.
Fruit smoothies are another item mentioned by customers. One reviewer enjoyed them, while another found a smoothie pulpy and too thick, even while noting that the ingredients seemed fresh. The comments suggest a casual, practical market experience rather than a polished sit-down setting: shoppers can pick up prepared foods and drinks as part of a grocery visit. The market may suit nearby residents, workers, and visitors who want a compact shop for fruit, vegetables, Korean side dishes, or a quick meal such as kimbap. Reviews also describe friendly, warm service, although customer experiences are not uniform.
It is worth keeping the mixed feedback in mind when planning a visit. Some reviewers have praised the food and overall convenience, while others have reported produce past its prime, expired items, or products without visible prices. One customer also raised a concern about how a damaged food item was handled. These are individual accounts, but they are useful context for shoppers: inspect fresh items, check labels and dates, and confirm prices before purchasing when needed. Sue's Produce Market is located at 114 S 18th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Its hours are not listed in the provided information, so confirm current opening details before making a special trip.

Not nearly as good as it used to be. Produce is often past its prime and, as others note, items can be expired and unpriced. Yesterday I ignored the big bin of browned brussel sprouts (the person tending the cash register seemed uninterested when I reported the problem), and I also passed up the romaine lettuce heads with rotted stems. The grapes I bought are now already soft and the cauliflower ($5.99!) is flecked with black and has withered leaves. Seems like they overstock and leave produce on the shelf after it should be removed. Again, it’s a shame! This used to be a favorite place—a neighborhood gem.
Really nice grocery place, but the smoothies in the back were really pulpy and needed more ice because they were too thick ☹️. You can tell the ingredients were fresh though.
Lovely little market with everything that you need. Warm friendly service and fresh Korean foods such as japchae and kimbap
I go out of my way to buy their homemade kimchi! They have all types of kimchi and side-dishes, and personally I prefer the spiciness and freshness of their kimchi over what you can buy at a big asian grocer. Their kimbap is also excellent. They also have delicious fruit smoothies that people will line up for during lunch. They’re definitely worth lining up for.
Kimchi was displayed on shelf, picked up two containers of kimchi *price was not marked on kimchi. Got to the register, noticed one container of kimchi had a string of hair in it. Gave to cashier she did not discard it only placed it to the side! The other one I did purchase - kimchi was not good at all. Extremely dry looked to be old/ expired even tasted as if it wasn’t fresh. Went to South Korea last summer - Do not recommend!
