Summer Moon Coffee

This was my first time visiting this local coffee shop, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. As someone who cares about coffee, I believe a good cup depends on every detail: the attitude, the preparation, the balance, and the final taste. The whole process felt very careless and unprofessional. When my coffee was handed to me, there was no smile or basic friendly service. However, I noticed that when other customers or people they seemed to know came in, they were greeted with smiles and even had their coffee and food brought out to them. As an Asian customer, I honestly felt I was treated differently. When I said “excuse me” to ask about the coffee, the response I received felt dismissive, like “what?” with attitude. I had ordered a flat white, and it tasted very over-extracted and unbalanced. A flat white should be smooth, balanced, and well-made, not just bitter. I bought two coffees and still left a tip, but the coffee itself was one of the most disappointing I have had. Even Starbucks, at least, has a more consistent standard. This coffee tasted only bitter, with none of the flavor, sweetness, or balance that good coffee beans should have. It is a shame because the shop has good equipment, a good location, its own beans, and even special milk options — but the final product did not reflect that. The cashier/service at the front was very nice, and I want to acknowledge that. But the manager and the female barista gave me a very poor impression. In the service industry, basic respect and professionalism should be the minimum, no matter what a customer looks like. I am not writing this to be mean. I hope the owner sees this and takes it seriously. With such a nice brand, good name, good setup, and good potential, it is truly disappointing to see the product and service handled this way. I hope the team can improve both the coffee quality and the way customers are treated.

Bright, clean, brisk atmosphere. Clearly part of a well managed chain. The staff were kind and helpful, cohesively working together to manage the morning rush. My drink was delicious and the cashier helped me decide what to get. I didn't get any food. Lots of tables and seating available, some soft benches with tables for extended working sessions. Comfy chairs by a faux fire place. I prefer a darker cozy local coffee shop, but if this is your vibe it is a great option!

I absolutely love this coffee shop and am a frequent customer, so I’m reluctantly leaving a 3-star review in the hopes that someone in management sees it and addresses what seems like a very fixable problem. …

Very disappointed in this location, specifically. Summer Moon has good coffee but this location is the one exception. The coffee is bitter and disgusting and the service is even worse. I went by this one today because it is closest to my job only to order one coffee and the girl asks me to sign and as I click submit realize she automatically put a tip for herself. That’s not how that works and that is disturbing, I hope all future customers check. Never at any of their other locations has this happened and normally I would be obliged to give a cash tip for friendly customer service as I own several restaurants and have done business for years. Do better, you should train your employees better and get over this “tipping” culture for fast places like this. Odd behavior

Whenever we crave coffee, Summer Moon is always one of the first places that comes to mind. The coffee is excellent and consistently well-made, and the staff are always welcoming and professional. Highly recommend this place to any coffee lover. ☕️✨
