Sunflower Spa & Massage is a massage spa in Portland, Oregon, at 140 SW Arthur St Unit 100, Portland, OR 97201. It is a local option for people looking to set aside time for a massage in Portland, whether they are planning a restorative break or simply want to unwind. The available information lists the spa as open every day, Monday through Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., which can make it easier to consider a visit around a weekday or weekend schedule. Customer feedback describes experiences that vary. Some reviewers praise the massage itself, with one calling the session incredible and saying they left feeling much better. Another review highlights Amy’s attentive, professional approach: she listened to the customer’s request, asked questions, noticed small details, and helped the guest feel more comfortable. These comments suggest that visitors who value communication and a welcoming interaction may appreciate the experience when their preferences are heard. One reviewer also described the interior as welcoming, while another called the setting elegant and relaxing.

There is also a critical review that raises concerns about whether the treatment met the reviewer’s expectations for a professional massage. That account differs sharply from the positive experiences, so prospective guests may want to communicate their preferences clearly before a session and ask any questions that matter to them. The listed rating is 3.4 from five reviews, a modest sample with mixed opinions rather than a uniform picture. Reading the feedback as a whole gives a more balanced sense of what past customers have reported than relying on only the most enthusiastic or most dissatisfied account.

For people comparing massage spas in Portland, Sunflower Spa & Massage offers a convenient downtown-area address and daily listed hours, alongside customer accounts that range from very positive to critical. It may suit guests who value a personal, attentive interaction and want to discuss comfort and requests during their visit. The available details do not specify particular massage modalities, pricing, appointment availability, or additional spa services, so it is best to confirm those directly before making plans. Its Portland location and 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. daily schedule provide practical starting points for deciding whether the spa fits your needs.

Wonderful experience with Amy who provided me with a professional massage. She listened to my request and asked questions, took notice of the little things and made me more comfortable. Very welcoming place on the inside. Highly recommend 👌.

I visited Sunflower Spa expecting a legitimate, professional massage, but the experience fell well short of that standard. The session started normally, but it quickly became clear that the therapist was not a qualified massage professional. When I questioned what was happening, she suddenly had trouble understanding English—even though we had communicated fine earlier in the session. The massage was interrupted repeatedly—not just once, but three or four times. Every time her phone rang, she ran out of the room to answer it, returning a few minutes later each time. It added up to a significant portion of my session, and she didn't extend the time to make up for it. I found the whole thing unprofessional—when you pay for an hour-long massage, you expect uninterrupted time. A few other things stood out to me. Entry to the establishment was controlled by an electronic locking system operated from inside, which I found unusual, even if it was just a security measure. Licensing information appeared to be displayed inside, but it was too far away to read or verify. The bathrooms were also unclean and lacked soap and clean towels. After I left, I Googled the business and found it listed on Rubmaps, an adult website where people discuss massage businesses. While the business does appear in the Oregon Corporation Division registry as an LLC, neither the business name (Sunflower Spa) nor the registered agent (Tingting Lu) appears in the Oregon Massage Board's license lookup. Customers seeking professional massage services deserve clear boundaries, transparent pricing, and a comfortable environment where they can ask questions. That was my experience here, and I would not recommend this place for any future visits. I will also be writing a letter to the Massage Board about this experience and the possible lack of proper licensing.

Here’s a natural and polished English review: “I can confidently say this is the most professional massage I’ve ever experienced. The environment is elegant and relaxing, and the therapist was not only highly skilled but also very warm and welcoming. I truly enjoyed a full hour of both physical and mental relaxation. I’ll definitely be coming back—and next time, I’m bringing my friends to experience it too!”
