Sunshine Massage is a massage therapist located at 15 Spring St in Watertown, MA 02472. It offers massage appointments for people looking to make time for hands-on care close to home or while in the Watertown and greater Boston area. Customer feedback describes a clean, welcoming setting and therapists who may adapt a session to a client’s stated needs. Experiences are not uniform, however, and reviews differ on technique and consistency, so it can be helpful to share your preferences clearly and ask questions before your appointment.
Reviewers mention seeking help with concerns such as a stiff neck, a sore back, or general muscle tension. Some describe sessions tailored to the areas they want addressed, rather than an identical routine each visit. The available information does not specify a menu of massage styles or particular treatments, so prospective clients should contact Sunshine Massage to confirm what services are offered and whether a requested approach is available. If you have a specific concern, explain it when booking and again at the start of your session.
The atmosphere is described by some visitors as nice, clean, and welcoming, and a number of reviewers praise the quality of their massage. Others report less satisfying visits, including concerns that the work felt too superficial, focused heavily on the back, or varied depending on the therapist. These contrasting accounts are worth keeping in mind: the business may suit people who are comfortable communicating about pressure and focus areas, while anyone seeking a very specific technique may want to discuss expectations in advance. Reviews name Gina and Hannah positively, though therapist availability and experience can change.
Sunshine Massage has a listed rating of 4.6 from 38 reviews. That score provides a useful overview, but individual feedback ranges from enthusiastic recommendations to criticism of technique and consistency. One reviewer also said the gratuity policy made the total feel more expensive and wished it had been explained before the massage. To avoid surprises, ask about the full price, any automatic gratuity, appointment length, and payment details when scheduling. A reviewer recommends calling ahead because appointments can book up; confirming availability directly is sensible.
For people comparing massage therapists in Watertown, Sunshine Massage is a local option at 15 Spring St, with customer accounts suggesting that communication can help shape the session. It may be worth considering for a massage focused on an area of discomfort or for a relaxing appointment, while keeping in mind that results and therapist fit are personal. Check current hours and appointment availability directly before visiting, as listed schedules can change. Sharing your goals, asking about the therapist’s approach, and confirming pricing beforehand can help you decide whether the experience matches what you are looking for.

About 1 month ago, I went here for a massage with my friend. And I had the worst experience of my life. First of all, they do not know what they are doing regarding massage. They only hit and touch superficially and 80% of the massage is only on the back area. They cannot give an equal and symmetrical massage. They cannot do the same thing to my left arm as they do to my right arm or the same goes for the feet. They spend very little time on the leg area. During the massage, they constantly leave the room and interrupt the massage to greet other customers. At the end of the massage, she determines a tip list for you according to the number of hours of massage you have received and makes it mandatory Owner push me to take 20$ tip for nothing and I did and for massage I pay 70$ .She does not understand the type culture, gives terrible massages and also has a table made for herself to force you to get a tip. She also wants you to pay only in cash or zelle, I guess to pay less tax. Not professional worse place I ever gone. If don’t taste real massage you can’t understand differences between this place not professional.
Such a gem tucked away in Watertown! The massage is always amazing. I usually see Gina or Hannah, but whoever you end up with will do a great job. It’s definitely not a place where you will get the same massage every time. They always cater the massage to your needs, whether you tell them what’s bugging you or not. They will be chatty if you want to be chatty, but they will also not bother you if you just want to relax and not say a word. Gina, Hannah, and the rest of her staff are genuinely good, caring people who I look forward to seeing every time I go. Also, they keep the place very clean. You will faintly hear others constantly washing their hands, and they use disposable table covers. I can be a bit of a germ freak, so those few things go a long way for me! You ladies are the best. Thank you so much.
Best place in the Boston area if you need a real massage from a skilled therapist. Nice, clean and welcoming atmosphere. Gina and her staff are well-trained and can fix anything from bad backs, stiff necks to wrenched knees. Best to call in advance for an appointment as they get booked up fast.
This used to be my go-to massage place for over a year. Zoe was amazing. Unfortunately, they brought new masseuses recently, and they are not that good (in my opinion) in terms of technique (they are average). Unfortunately, I will have to stop going to this place. Gina apparently still works there but I could not see her on my day of visit.
Great massage, it gets a little pricey after the fixed gratuity rate. Would’ve been better if they tell the client about the tip policy before the massage. But it was still great, will go back:)
