I discovered this place about three years ago and have been coming back ever since. The food here is consistently authentic and hits exactly the way real Sichuan/Szechuan cuisine should. My go-to dishes are the Chongqing spicy chicken, eggplant in hot garlic sauce, fish in black bean sauce, Sichuan boiled fish, and dan dan noodles. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Everything is incredibly flavorful, and the spice truly hits home. For anyone unfamiliar with Sichuan/Szechuan food, a heads-up that many dishes use chili oil, but it’s aromatic and intentional, not greasy. The staff are always pleasant and friendly, which makes the experience even better, and the prices are unbeatable for the quality and portions you get. I’ve introduced this restaurant to several friends over the years, and they’ve all loved it too. If you’re looking for real-deal Sichuan/Szechuan food, this place is a must. I’ll definitely keep coming back
I’ll boldly make the claim that the wontons in chili oil & the chow mein here are far better than Din Tai Fung, and I’ve been to DTF for over 2 decades. The bitter melon & eggs and Mongolian lamb are also very good. Overall I’ve made a tradition to stop by Szechuan First every time after I shop at IKEA, and it’s been wonderful.
Wonderful food for over 20 years. The food is always excellent, fresh and great quality. This place is extra special. Very authentic, unique flavors and large menu. The service is fast and consistent. Huge Lunch Menu still under $15 in 2026 for a complete meal with tea, soup, fried rice and entree.
The food is great! Everything is made to order and comes in large share portions. They make awesome dumplings too. Get the shredded potatoes and thank me later.
I have not been there in about 8 months, due to a move. Nice family-like folks. The food has lots of flavor/fresh. *The green beans are little over done for my taste, but all in all I'll be back again, l really want to try their whole fish dishes again. 5 stars is my tummies goal!! Thanks!
