Customer feedback specifically mentions massage sessions, including firmer bodywork, as well as fire cupping and cupping massage. One guest praised a massage with fire cupping and described the staff as friendly, while another said a cupping massage left them feeling relaxed and eager to return. These services may appeal to guests who are looking for hands-on wellness treatments rather than a quick, purely cosmetic spa visit.

Sign in to reviewI recently visited The Taichi Wellness Spa with a small group of friends for what we hoped would be a relaxing spa day experience. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell well below our expectations. The treatment rooms were very humid, and the sheets felt sticky and did not smell fresh. The massage tables were also uncomfortable, and one of the tables in our group's room did not even have a face hole, making it difficult to relax during the massage. Additionally, one therapist left the treatment room door open during part of a massage, which felt unprofessional and compromised privacy. The atmosphere throughout the facility was not what I would consider spa-like. The waiting area felt more like a run-down drug store than a relaxing wellness environment. The massage itself was decent, and I did leave a $15 tip per therapist because I wanted to acknowledge their work. However, the therapists asked very few questions about pressure preferences or areas of concern before beginning. My massage was quite intense, with little communication beforehand. At $90 per person (total $105 with tip), I expected a much higher level of comfort, cleanliness, professionalism, and ambiance. Looking back, I wish I had booked our group at a full-service spa instead. If you are simply looking for a basic massage, this may be an option. However, if you are seeking a true spa day experience with a relaxing atmosphere and attention to detail, I would not recommend this location.
I have been left with bruises and burns. The massage was so rough, I can’t touch my skin. He massaged over bones, deep massage work over the backs of the knees. I’m in so much pain that I can’t move today. He didn’t work on muscle groups but over vital organs. I’ve had 100s of Thai massages and massages in general. I’ve never been left like this. I literally can not move today. I asked him to lighten up 3 times, but he just kept on going. I made him stop altogether and I left. This is totally unacceptable, dangerous and unprofessional. There is absolutely no way this man has been trained properly. I can’t lay on my back or sides. Every touch is excruciating. I was told by the owner that this was his style and he does deep work. This is beyond that. I came in needing relief and left in horrible pain. The owner just wants to make excuses instead of acknowledging the issue. Again, extremely unprofessional and dangerous. There is absolutely no reason to have bruising after a massage, no matter how deep it is. This is soft tissue damage. The burns are from the hot stones and are bad enough I can’t take a hot bath to try and soothe the pain im in.
Prepaid Package Scam at Tai Chi Wellness Spa They took $1,540.29 of my money by explicitly promising that the packages "never expire." I had three separate VIP packages tracking 10 unused hours of acupressure ($460 value), 8 unused sessions of massage ($871.20 value), and 5 unused reflexology sessions ($209.09 value). For years, the manager, Julia, used manipulative sales tactics to delay me from using my packages. Every time I went in, she persuaded me to buy a "daily special" instead, telling me, "Buy this today and save your package for later because your packages never expire." I trusted management, paid extra cash out-of-pocket, and saved my packages. Right after the pandemic closures lifted, I went in to resume my appointmentsthey threw away their tracking sheets to cover their tracks. her response face-to-face was that they can change anything and do anything they want without to try to survive . It turns out that on January 28, 2021, they quietly rewrote their website policies to secretly add an expiration clause to older packages without telling anyone. I hired formal legal counsel who sent an official demand letter via registered mail to their corporate office on Loop 1604 in December 2021. The legal letters, were ignored, ignored text messages, and refused to respond. Thankfully, I have kept all of my original physical paperwork, email records, and the official demand letters. If you look at their reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor, you will see that they did this exact same thing to multiple other local clients after COVID (wiping out accounts and demanding extra cash to honor paid sessions). They are still operating right here in our community and taking people's money up front. Please protect your hard-earned money and take your business to a spa that operates with basic honesty. An official complaint is being prepared for filing with the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division regarding their systemic fraudulent billing practices.
