$17 for a banh mi is $4-$10 way too expensive but I really like the bread as well as the interesting pork that they have that's really flavorful. Hopefully with the new Oakland guest pass program they can try to incentivize more prices down to the street level. Ordering is easy through the iPad and I really like the decorations they have for their area extending a little bit to into a gate area. There are grab and go food options as well as a soda fountain serving Coca-Cola drinks. This seems to be a little bit more popular due to the fact there are Southwest passengers around.

We arrived and the line was long so we thought it might be good. Our orders came out in less than 10 minutes. Tried the chicken pho and it was excellent. My wife got the garlic noodle with mushrooms. She said it was different than expected but good and more than she could eat.

Got some bahn mi and a rice bowl before our flight and it was nearly inedible. I had some incredible Vietnamese at SFO last week so and I stupidly didn’t check the reviews at this place. Staff was really nice but clearly didn’t care about the quality of their work. Pork was tough grey and stringy, sandwich was overall flavorless except when I bit into the single leaf of cilantro, that bite was ok. Rice bowl, according to my partner, was ok but also pretty bland. We just ate this five minutes ago and I already feel sick. Save your money and buy a $10 bag of chips at the convenience store right next door.

Ordered a pork vermicelli bowl. Saw a bahn mi come out with my order number. Politely told the guy that I ordered a bowl, which that was not. The guy said it’s the number before (662). I show him the sticker that says 663 just like my receipt. I show him my receipt that says pork rice vermicelli bowl. He continues to claim that I clicked the wrong item! I had to use a more stern tone and told him to read the receipt again. It clearly says bowl. As does the sticker on the sandwich. He says “somebody made a mistake” to which I reply “yes, someone behind the counter with you did. Now please give me what I ordered.” He keeps an attitude and tosses the bowl on the counter after making it begrudgingly. He literally tried to gaslight me after reading the receipt… what a tool. Screw that place, I won’t be back

I’ve been eating lunch at Tay Ho downtown Oakland since the opened. Ate here because their food was always superior. This is awful. Avoid. Go elsewhere. My eggs are grey-green and the hash browns aren’t cooked or seasoned. Ugh…
