Located at 4165 Cushing Pkwy, Teo Chow Noodle Shack is a casual Chinese Restaurant in Fremont, CA for diners who want a straightforward meal centered on noodle soups, rice plates, and comforting Chinese favorites. The restaurant holds a 4.3 rating from more than 460 reviews, a useful signal for locals searching for a familiar lunch spot near Fremont’s business corridors. Guests often describe it as a place to stop in for a quick lunch with a friend, order efficiently, and settle in for a bowl of soup, a plate of duck, or crisp fried seafood without a formal dining-room feel.
The menu draws attention for noodles with savory broth, tender duck, wonton soup, salt-and-pepper wings, spicy fried fish, and honey walnut shrimp. Reviewers who return regularly call out the salt pepper wings as a favorite, while others praise the spicy fried fish for being crispy and properly spicy. The honey walnut shrimp also earns positive notes when the shrimp are cooked just right. For noodle lovers, the appeal is in the warm broth, simple portions, and familiar flavors, though some diners find certain fried rice or noodle dishes milder than they prefer.
Service is built around a practical, modern ordering flow: customers can use the kiosks near the entrance to place and pay for an order, then choose dine-in with a table note or request takeout. That setup makes Teo Chow Noodle Shack especially convenient for office lunches, solo meals, parent-and-child lunches, and anyone who wants to pick up dinner before the evening rush. Hours are generally 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, and closed on Sunday, so weekday lunch is a natural fit.
Like many neighborhood restaurants, feedback is mixed on a few details, which can be helpful for first-time visitors. Some guests mention higher prices or note that side substitutions may change what comes with a special, so it is worth checking the kiosk options carefully before paying. Wonton soup receives both praise and criticism in reviews, suggesting that diners may prefer to explore across the menu and find their own favorites. The strongest recurring themes are broth, duck, wings, crispy fish, and shrimp dishes.
For people searching locally for a Chinese Restaurant in Fremont, Teo Chow Noodle Shack is best approached as a casual, practical stop for comforting bowls and crisp, flavorful plates rather than a polished special-occasion venue. It suits diners who value speed, familiar Chinese flavors, and a menu with both soup-based comfort food and fried specialties. Whether you are nearby at lunch or planning a simple takeout meal from 4165 Cushing Pkwy, it offers a grounded Fremont option with enough customer favorites to make a return visit easy to justify.

Sign in to reviewStopped here for a quick lunch with a friend, and have to say it was excellent. The noodles were great, soup broth excellent, and duck was flavourful and very tender. I've been looking for places that do great wonton soup and duck and looks live I've found one! I'll be back here for sure 😊 I've heard you can also order a whole duck to take home, same with their wontons and soup - so you could have it at home which sounds like a great idea! Their iced tea was very nice too actually, I don't usually go for iced tea but this was a good one, and I'd order it again.
Prob best salt pepper wings period. Been going for the last 5 years and can say place only just gets better.
Loved the spicy fried fish! It was crispy and spicy. Also loved the honey walnut shrimp! Shrimp were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately the fried rice and noodles were a bit bland for my liking. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.
The price of food is expensive. If you buy an entree or aka their “special” then it comes with rice only, not even few pieces of vegetables. I asked for mixed veggies, they charge $2 and they didn’t give me the rice that comes with the special spare ribs. They just told me I replaced it with the vegetables. That’s cheap to me. If someone wants to pay you for vegetables they should get it in addition to the rice. Didn’t ask to substitute our and charge more. Wasn’t even made aware it’s substituted
Came here for lunch with my son. When you first come in there are two kiosks where you can order your food and pay. You will also get the option to note a table where you will be when your food is ready or you can specify take out. The won ton soup was so so and won tons were not great! Maybe I caught them on a bad day but I was slightly disappointed since I saw so many good reviews online. I will try give them another try on a different day
