Sign in to reviewEditing because I keep ordering white/steamed rice for my to go order and I keep getting fried rice ): It has happened the last 3 times now, even after the cashier reads steamed rice back to me as confirmation before I pay. I'll be checking my order when I get it, despite it being simple, and would just caution you do the same. ... I'm very biased towards Mandarin Canton as I've been coming here since childhood. I bring my friends, family, and have continually claimed it as "my spot" in the break ups. Everything has always hit, and they have theeee best salt and pepper chicken wings because there is absolutely no fishy taste. Make sure to get white rice to mix the "drippings" with for a real good bite! I also highly recommend the popo platter, beef curry, and literally any of the noodles. The service here has always been excellent to me, but I'm also kind and understanding during their rightfully busy times. They prioritize speed alongside taste and quality, but mistakes are bound to happen during an influx of orders. The atmosphere is your standard lil' Chinese restaurant; smaller, but clean and bright. I love you, Mandarin Canton. Always one of my favourite spots in Chula forever 💖
Atmosphere was great service was excellent 👌 food was hot garbage, don't waste your money I paid 21.50 for house fried rice and it was extremely salty and it literally only had 4 shrimp l. Rice was over cooked. And it had diced beef like dog food.
I’ve grown up in Chula Vista and this has always been a go to Chicken spot for my family and myself. Crunchy, savory, and great kick of spices for your taste buds. After 11 years away the chicken has not changed and I am overjoyed that it’s flavor is still around. The fried rice is a perfect compliment to the chicken. The egg drop soup is so hot and soothing going down, not salty like other Chinese restaurants. The touch of corn adds an extra depth of flavor. There free appetizer chips with sweet sauce just tickles the taste buds and prepares you for the entree if you don’t get full off of it first.
They have TOP TIER salt and Pepper chicken wings. Loved the value on their lunch menu. Great place for wings and Chinese food. Would highly recommend to everyone. Love supporting small owned businesses. Wishing them lots of continued success 💜
Ordered a total of 7 items for a little get together totaling over $150. Opened the bag and only found 3 items. Presentation of food was hideous. Called the restaurant and spoke with the manager. She said “if you don’t speak Chinese I can’t help you.” Not the best food; just wanted want what I ordered and paid for. Refused to hear me out. Sadly don’t appreciate bad business practices. Very going back again. Horrible ownership and management. Money first; customer service and quality dead last is their business model.
