Sign in to reviewFlavorful Thai servings in a hole-in-a-wall setting with quick and friendly service. We had the Chicken Satay, Pad Kee Mow, Penang Curry, and Thai Fried Rice. They were all good with fulfilling portions. The mango with sticky rice made for nice dessert too. Thai Tea was good as expected. We went with medium spicy level which was just hot enough to contribute to the overall taste profile but didn't cause any discomfort. Our server was quite courteous and welcoming.
This was our first time eating here and went based off of the great Reviews. The Reviews were definitely on point because the food here was fantastic! Our order came out just as we ordered and was very tasty with good sized portions. Even my daughter who is a very picky eater finished her plate, Chicken Fried Rice. The Owner even brought us out some complimentary Green Thai Tea which was so good. My wife and I liked it better than the normal Thai Tea. The restaurants dining area wasn't busy because we went kind of late, roughly an hour before closing. Their To-go's however were non-stop the entire time we were there. That's always a great sign👍 Also since it wasn't too busy the Owner came out and spoke with us for a good 15 minutes, very friendly lady. This is their first restaurant she told us and from the way things are going it's going to be around for a while. The spot itself was small, cozy and very clean. That along with the scratch made dishes in a good location and you have the perfect recipe for success! Would we go back? We're already planning our next visit😁
Wow! *REAL* Thai food! This is a small Bistro that features authentic Thai dishes and Thai cooking! Katy is half of a Thai-American couple who has changed nothing at all from Chiang Mai in these recipes! Remarkable appetizers, notable deserts also! The whole family will enjoy Thai American Bistro.

The three of us, teenage boys from Elkins High School, entered at 7 PM on Thursday night. Although Thai American Bistro may appear to be a small restaurant off University Boulevard, it is a great restaurant that offers big flavors, …
