About

Thai Son is listed on FindALoco in Westminster, CA with address, phone, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Produce Market.

Thai Son is a produce market located on Bolsa Avenue in the heart of Westminster, California. Situated in one of the most well-known Vietnamese commercial corridors in the United States, the market serves the local community of Little Saigon and surrounding Orange County neighborhoods. For those exploring the area, Thai Son sits among a dense concentration of Vietnamese-owned shops, restaurants, and markets that make Bolsa Avenue a destination for authentic Southeast Asian goods.

As a produce market, Thai Son carries a selection of fruits and vegetables common to Vietnamese and Southeast Asian cooking. Shoppers may find items suited for preparing traditional dishes at home. The market operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with slightly earlier opening hours on weekends at 8:00 AM. Its central Westminster location makes it accessible for residents across the 92683 zip code and neighboring cities such as Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, and Huntington Beach.

It is important for potential customers to be aware that Thai Son has received mixed feedback from its community. Some reviewers have raised concerns about the freshness of certain produce items and prepared foods, including the rice rolls commonly sold at Vietnamese markets. A few customers have reported disappointment with the quality and consistency of products, particularly regarding items stored beneath layers of fresher stock. Others have noted that certain specialty ingredients they were seeking, such as kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass, were not available at this location, with some suggesting that larger nearby markets like ABC Supermarket may carry a wider variety.

Customer experiences with prepared food items, including banh cuon and rice rolls, have also varied significantly. While Vietnamese markets in Little Saigon are celebrated for their fresh prepared foods, some reviewers have described unsatisfactory taste and texture in the offerings at Thai Son. The fish sauce served alongside certain dishes has also been mentioned as not meeting expectations. These firsthand accounts suggest that visitors may want to inspect products carefully before purchasing, especially fresh and prepared items.

Given the feedback available, Thai Son may be worth a visit for those already in the Bolsa Avenue area who want to browse, but shoppers prioritizing the widest selection and most consistent freshness of Vietnamese produce in Westminster might also consider comparing options at neighboring markets. As with any produce market, checking items personally and asking questions about product dates can help ensure a satisfying shopping experience. Thai Son remains part of the vibrant network of Vietnamese-owned businesses that define Little Saigon's unique character as a cultural and commercial hub in Southern California.

I needed a tie market to buy kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, and red Thai chillies. They don't not sell these items. Go to ABC Supermarket next door and there you will find everything!

My mom and I got very sick from eating their banh cuon. We bought 3 packages, but ate 1 and had to throw away the rest. Tasted rotten and the ingredients were not fresh. My mom and I ended up getting food poisoning. Customer service is terrible too.

NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM. They place fresh fruit on top to deceive buyers believing that it’s all fresh. The place moldy rotten fruit underneath and still have the nerve to charge you for rotten produce! After calling them, there was no apology the owner basically said it’s not my problem. Wow no appreciation for customers. Poor business ethics and consuming rotting fruits is a health hazard. The health department will be notified.

The rice rolls were supposed to be filled with meat, but there was no meat, only fried onions and mushrooms. The fish sauce was terrible, as bland as cold water. I will never return to this restaurant.
