As a long-time, loyal fan and frequent customer of The Alley internationally, I am incredibly saddened to write this review. I have visited numerous locations across the globe and regularly frequent the Austin branch, so I am very familiar with the high standards and distinct flavor profile that The Alley usually provides. Unfortunately, the Plano location was a major letdown. The Experience: • The Service: The atmosphere was disappointing from the moment I walked in. The staff was completely inattentive; I wasn't even greeted when I entered the shop. It felt like the team didn't want to be there, which is a far cry from the welcoming service I’m used to at other locations. • The Quality: The tea itself was simply not good. It was overwhelmingly sweet—masking any actual tea flavor—and it tasted nothing like the consistent, premium quality found in Austin or abroad. Conclusion: It is truly disheartening to see such a lack of quality control and basic hospitality at this Dallas-area branch. As someone who truly loves this brand, this experience was deeply disappointing. I hope management addresses both the drink preparation and the customer service standards to match The Alley’s international reputation.
Do not get the strawberry green tea. It was terrible. So sour and bitter I couldn't finish it. Also they gave me a dirty cup. In contrast, the milk tea is pretty tasty. Too bad we got the trio there is too much stuff included. If you love different toppings in your tea go for this one. They also have panna cottas here. I tried the mango one and devoured that in like 2 sec so yummy.
I visited this location with a friend during a time when there were no other customers, and we were the only ones in the store. After placing our drink order, we noticed an employee sitting behind the curtain, seemingly eating. We assumed she would come out to confirm our order once it was placed, especially since the order bell had rung. However, several minutes passed and she remained seated in the same spot. We waited patiently, but eventually had to ring the bell ourselves to get her attention before she came out to assist us. This level of service was disappointing, especially given that there were no other customers at the time. I hope management can address this issue to ensure a better customer experience in the future
I absolutely adore the milk tea here! The taste is consistently superb, and the service staff always go above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. The ambiance of the place is beautiful, and it's incredibly convenient being so close to home. A definite favorite spot for me!
