Unfortunately the seasonal drinks we got were meh (the mocha was too sweet and matcha lacked flavor, and both tasted a bit watery). However, the pitaya bowl did not disappoint. Decent size, tasted fresh, and reasonably priced! Will probably try to find a different regular coffee joint, but will definitely be back for a cold snack after hiking 😋
With the way things are nowadays with the economy so bad and all the hate in the news. My girlfriend and I have to watch all the funds we spend so when we go somewhere it has to be special or important. So (((we mistakenly))) chose The Lean Bean in Santee even though they have a history of not giving us what we ordered we thought we'd give them one more chance but this unfolded today. The owner made another again mistakenly messed up on my order, just like her employees have done before on many occasions. When I politely pointed it out, she responded with, "Then don't bother coming back." When I told her I would be leaving a review, she said, "Go ahead." There was no apology, no attempt to fix the issue, just rudeness. People in Santee deserve to know what kind of customer service they may encounter here. This is a 100% true and accurate description of what happened. This place should be called "THE MEAN LEAN BEAN" There are some many other places in Santee that do not have extortion pricing. I highly suggest you all just look on your phone for a minute and go were an owner of a business can admit their mistakes if they make them and give you down home respectful treatment. You sure won't get it at this disrespectful place.It's a drive thru with an attitude when you have the owner serve you. Now its time to put his up on Facebook and in The San Diego Union -Tribune and Yelp plus other media platforms.
I just came across this amazing coffee place. I was working in Santee and needed a pick-me-up. I looked up and saw this quaint lil coffee shop. With a quick drive-thru. We had a RED BULL FUSION and a PB BLAST, to die for. Sweetest thing in a cup, that delighted my taste buds. The owners are hard working and just delightful. It will keep me coming back. They have been in Buisness almost 13 years, now I know why. If you are looking for reasonable priced, delicious coffee then this hits the mark. You won’t be disappointed. 5 STARS all the way! Small business you can count on for great customer service.
Morning boost with a colorful acai bowl, protein bowl, and a veggie shake! So refreshing and healthy. Just a heads-up: it’s a drive-thru spot, and it can get pretty busy during breakfast or lunch. Would be great if they had an extra person to help with orders during peak times, it took a while for us, but the food was worth the wait.
Hands down, best staff and rotating mthly drinks! My family and I try not to go everyday but....🤫😅 Mind ya business. Gigi and the rest of the staff does an excellent job personalizing the experience. Be sure to try the half acai and pitaya smoothie (occasional espresso shot)
