The Portland Clinic-South is a medical clinic in Portland, Oregon, located at 6640 SW Redwood Ln, Portland, OR 97224. It is a local option for people seeking medical care and a place to discuss their health with a provider. The available customer feedback includes experiences with primary care and an annual wellness visit, so people comparing clinics may find those details useful. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and closed on Saturday and Sunday. If you are planning a visit, checking directly with the clinic about appointment availability and current arrangements is a sensible step, particularly if you have a specific care need or timing requirement.

Some patients describe positive experiences with their providers and clinic staff. One reviewer praised Dr. Rakowski for listening carefully, taking time during appointments, and explaining recommendations for a healthier lifestyle. The same feedback mentions useful information to read after the visit. Another reviewer highlighted medical assistant Veronica’s warm, welcoming manner and said her cheerfulness helped create a more comfortable experience. These comments may matter to people who value clear explanations, attentive conversations, and a reassuring interaction with clinic staff. Individual visits can differ, but the reviews offer examples of the personal qualities some patients have appreciated at The Portland Clinic-South.

The feedback is mixed, and prospective patients should consider the concerns as well as the positive comments. Some reviewers report frustration with billing, including a concern that an annual wellness visit was not billed as expected and repeated calls did not resolve the issue. Another patient raised a concern about an item found on the exam-room floor, while other feedback describes a provider cancellation after a long wait and difficulty getting a timely replacement appointment. These are individual reports, not a guarantee of what another patient will experience. Still, they suggest that it can be helpful to confirm billing details, ask about scheduling expectations, and raise any questions directly with the clinic.

For people in Portland and nearby communities, The Portland Clinic-South offers weekday access to a medical clinic at its SW Redwood Lane location. Its posted hours may be convenient for patients arranging care during the workweek, while weekend visitors should note that the clinic is closed. The available reviews point to a range of experiences: some patients value attentive providers and welcoming assistance, while others describe administrative or scheduling concerns. With a 4.2 rating across 105 reviews in the supplied listing, the clinic has feedback worth reading in context rather than relying on a single account. Contact the clinic to verify current services, appointment availability, and billing questions before making plans.

This place has really gone downhill, especially with regards to billing. I had my annual wellness visit on June 10, and it was never billed properly. Hence, I was never able to get the $50 OTC amount I'm entitled to. I've called billing twice, and just get the runaround. Yesterday, when I spoke with someone, he said it was billed incorrectly and they show a zero balance. He said they can't do anything more. I called Providence, my insurer, and they said mistakes happen all the time, and just have the doctor rebill the correct code. Why can't Portland Clinic just do that instead of hassling me? Separately, my PCP disappeared from the Portland Clinic website, with no explanation. I asked if he's still with the clinic or went elsewhere, and they couldn't tell me. With all the choices we have with doctors and providers, why go here? I won't anymore.

My first appointment was good. 2nd appointment was a whole different experience. Arrived 15 minutes early to check in and take care of co-pay, nothing unusual. However, once I came into my exam room, I noticed there was a matchbook on the floor which made me a bit concerned about cleaning procedures between patients. But things got worse and I became more agitated due to waiting for 45 minutes in the exam room with no communication. Never got to see the doctor!!! Walked out to the lobby and asked for a refund for my co-pay. They offered to reschedule me, but I declined. I’m sure this is a good practice??? Don’t really know as I won’t be going back. I’m giving them a 2 ONLY because they were nice and apologetic, but based on being there for an hour and not seeing the doctor for an appointment I made 6 weeks ago (and I arrived on time!) … just no. I am not the one. And will not go back.
