The Watch Doctor is a watch repair service at 4025 W Waters Ave #108 in Tampa, FL 33614. Customers visit for watch repairs and battery replacements, with reviews also describing work on automatic watches, damaged watch glass, and watch faces. The shop has a 4.2-star rating from 232 reviews, reflecting a range of customer experiences. If you are looking for watch repair in Tampa, this local shop may be worth considering for both straightforward service and questions about a more involved repair.
Customer reviews mention battery changes as well as repairs on several kinds of watches. One customer brought in a Movado Fiero automatic with a broken back glass and debris inside; they reported that the watch was restored in about 30 minutes. Another reviewer described dropping off four watches, including two for battery replacements, one needing watch-face repair, and one that had not worked in four years. They said the repairs were completed two days later. These are individual reports, not a promise of a particular repair time or result, but they offer examples of the work customers have brought to the shop.
The feedback also includes positive comments about knowledgeable service, reasonable pricing, and a friendly counter experience. One customer appreciated that a minor necklace repair was handled in minutes, and said previous visits for watch repairs had also gone well. While the business is listed as a watch repair service, this review suggests it may be useful to ask whether a small jewelry repair is something the shop can take on. For customers with a watch that needs attention, describing the issue and asking about the proposed work can help set expectations before leaving it for service.
Reviews are not uniformly positive. Some customers report concerns about the repair performed, the price, or communication before work was completed. In particular, one reviewer said a watch’s movement was changed without a call or approval, and another raised concerns about the cost of a repair involving parts they had supplied. Because repair needs and estimates can differ, it is sensible to confirm the diagnosis, parts, price, and any planned changes before authorizing work. This practical step can help you decide whether the proposed service suits your watch and budget.
The Watch Doctor is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; it is closed Sunday and Monday. Its Tampa location gives local residents a place to ask about a battery replacement, an automatic watch issue, damaged glass, or other repair needs. Call or visit to confirm current hours and discuss the specific service you need before making the trip.

Excellent service at a reasonable price. Very knowledgeable. There is some pictures before and after. I have a Movado Fiero automatic. The back glass was broken and the watch had debris inside. They restored like new, in about 30 minutes.
Beware of this place it's only good for changing a battery. My Seiko GMT diver stopped working so I take it there they say N.P needs a battery, when I went to pick it up they changed the entire movement removed the GMT feature all this without a phone call or any communication can you tell me what they're going to do$150 and I get a different watch, don't go here.I bring in my watch and receive another, the kicker is I payed for first then they give me the watch , I would have never changed the movement I would have never taken the GMT out they took it on their own.Bad business.
Beware of this place! My husband took his watch there to be repaired, and we've been taking it there since August. We bought all the watch parts from the owner of this business, and she delivered it to him yesterday. She wanted to charge my husband $278 just to repair the watch with parts we bought and brought to her. Then she told my husband that she had lost the watch, that it couldn't turn up. This woman treats her customers terribly. Beware of this business; don't take your watches there for repair. If I were there, I would give it zero stars. 👎
I stopped in for a minor repair to a necklace. The woman working the counter was SO nice and made the repair in minutes. It was a very nice experience. This is the 2nd time I have had a repair done here and the previous experience was the same. They have worked on watches for me as well and have always been professional, fast and very nice to deal with. I highly recommend this shop. You can trust them and you can trust their work.
Dropped off 4 watches, 2 with simple battery replacement and 1 automatic that need some watch face repair.. 1 that hadn’t work in 4 years..2 days later all repairs were completed! Thanks
