About

Thiên Phú is listed on FindALoco in Charlotte, NC with address, phone, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Vietnamese Restaurant.

Thiên Phú is a Vietnamese restaurant at 3023 Central Ave in Charlotte, NC, known by local diners for generous portions, fresh vegetables, and especially its banh mi sandwiches. Its early opening time makes it a handy choice for a morning meal, while takeout sandwiches and dine-in soup and coffee give customers different ways to enjoy a visit. With a 4.6-star rating from 59 reviews, Thiên Phú has earned attention from people looking for Vietnamese food along Central Avenue.

Banh mi is a standout in customer feedback. Diners praise the bread for its crisp exterior and soft inside, and describe the vegetables and other ingredients as fresh. Reviewers have ordered sandwiches to go, including larger orders, making Thiên Phú a practical stop when you want a quick meal to bring along. One customer notes that sandwiches are available on Tuesdays, so it may be worth confirming the day’s options before making a special trip. The early 8:30 a.m. opening is another detail customers appreciate, particularly for a breakfast or morning coffee stop.

The menu also includes pho, soup, and coffee. Experiences with pho are mixed: some customers enjoyed a large, hot bowl, while another reviewer felt pho was not the restaurant’s strongest specialty and rated it below the banh mi. That range of feedback helps set a useful expectation: visitors seeking a sandwich-focused meal may find the clearest match in the restaurant’s most frequently praised item, while those curious about the soup can decide for themselves. Reviewers also mention hot food and welcoming service, including friendly smiles when arriving close to closing time.

Thiên Phú has a modest, no-frills exterior, and customers advise not to judge the meal by the outside appearance or parking lot. The atmosphere comes across as casual and unpretentious, suited to a quick lunch, a relaxed soup-and-coffee stop, or takeout for sharing. It may appeal to banh mi fans, nearby residents, and visitors exploring Vietnamese food in Charlotte who value substantial portions and freshly prepared ingredients over polished surroundings. The restaurant is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday through Sunday, and until 4 p.m. on Tuesday. For Vietnamese sandwiches and a casual neighborhood meal, Thiên Phú is a local option worth considering on Central Avenue.

The fact that this place opens at 0830 is amazing. Food tastes great and portions are huge!! It's definitely a hole in the wall and you know the food is going to be good when no one speaks English but the waitress (lol).

Absolutely the best thing on CENTRAL AVENUE! 0830AM opening time! People ordered Bahnmi sandwiches to go! Soup and coffee for dine in! Tuesdays ONLY sandwiches! Dont let the appearance of the outside and pkg lot discourage you! Food was very hot and veggies were fresh! I ordered eight sandwiches at $6.50 to-go! My son and wife loved them! About four dollars less than anywhere I know!

So my review is purely on the pho so there is some bias. The rule of thumb is, if they don’t have pho on the name of the restaurant, it’s not their specialty and that rings true here. Their pho is a 5/10. On that note, the high rating is deserving of the rest of the food. The bahn mi is fantastic. Although I like the carrots to be a little thinner, the flavor of the bahn mi was still legit!! 9/10. I will say their eggroll sauce and their bun sauces were only okay to me. If you prefer the rice plates and bahn mis, definitely give this place a try. If you’re wanting pho, keep looking on central! Lastly, the owner of this place is the sweetest!!

I’m dumbfounded by how good this place is! I discovered it as I tried but failed to check out their next door neighbor Thanh-Huong (they were closed). I am glad I had a chance to check this place out! I’m a Bahn Mi noob so take it for what …

We stopped by half an hour before closing, and we were greeted with huge, welcoming smiles. Service here was outstanding. We had the pho and banh mi, both were phenomenal. Banh mi bread was nicely toasted and crunchy on outside soft on instead, ingredients were very fresh. Pho was huge - just perfect.
