Town Nails and Spa is a nail salon at 380 Commercial St in Boston, MA 02109, serving people looking for manicures, pedicures, and careful nail work in the city. Customer experiences describe options including regular gel manicures, dip powder removal, acrylic nails, and a cat-eye effect, along with pedicures. The salon has a 4.7-star rating from 536 reviews. For locals, downtown workers, and visitors nearby, its Commercial Street address makes it a convenient place to consider when planning a nail appointment in Boston.
Reviews often highlight technicians who take time with the details. Customers describe attentive cuticle care, careful work, and a willingness to focus on how the finished nails look. One reviewer praised a gel manicure that continued to last well, while another appreciated a technician’s work creating a cat-eye design. Experiences can vary, and some feedback mentions concerns about application or a change of technician during an appointment. Taken together, the reviews suggest that clear communication about the desired shape, finish, and details can help set expectations before work begins.
The services mentioned by customers make Town Nails and Spa a choice to consider for different nail-care preferences. Someone switching from an older dip powder manicure may ask about removal and a gel replacement; a client interested in a more dimensional look can discuss a cat-eye effect; and people looking for foot care may find the reported pedicure service relevant. Customers also mention acrylics and regular gel manicures. These are review-described experiences, so it is sensible to confirm current availability and discuss the service you want directly with the salon.
The tone of many reviews points to an appointment that can feel relaxing and personal, especially when a technician is gentle, kind, and attentive throughout a pedicure or manicure. This may suit people who value detailed nail work and want to explain their preferences rather than rush through a service. If you have a specific finish or concern, describing it at the start and checking in during the appointment can support a smoother experience. The feedback is not uniformly positive, so outcomes may differ by visit and technician.

I came to this salon based on a recommendation from a colleague and I’m so glad I did! Nee was incredibly thorough and detail-oriented throughout my appointment. I had a month-old dip powder manicure from another salon removed and replaced with a gel manicure, and the entire process was done with so much care. I’m very pleased with how my nails turned out and will definitely be back. The salon was very busy for a Sunday afternoon, which says a lot about how popular they are. All of the nail techs seemed busy with clients, so I’d definitely recommend making an appointment ahead of time like I did!
I had a very nice person take care of my nails, thought they did a great job with the cats eye effect in 45 minutes. I’m looking at my nails (next day) and realizing the acrylics did not come close to reaching my cuticles and I’m going to have to get my nails re-done in the next week or two. Overall disappointed in a $90 nail job with 20% tip included.
I’ve been here before and had amazing customer service and they really took their time to make sure my nails looked great. However, I had a rather disappointing experience this time. I started with one tech who took her time and was careful with my cuticles and was switched to someone else halfway through. I immediately noticed the difference in patience and care. I’ve never complained during a manicure before but it seemed so rushed and messy that it felt necessary. I continuously expressed my concerns and was told not to worry and that the paint missing from sections of my nails and covering my skin would be fixed later. I left with bleeding fingers and a lackluster manicure. I will definitely come back but will be sure not to see the same technician.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chi did my pedicure today at 12:30 and she was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind, gentle, and attentive throughout the entire appointment, and she really made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. She paid great attention to detail and made sure everything was perfect. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. I left feeling pampered and refreshed highly recommend booking with Chi!
I am admittedly a difficult nail client (I want my nails to be perfect!) and Town always delivers and provides an absolutely amazing service. I never write reviews but I genuinely feel like I would be doing them a disservice by not posting. I go for the regular gel manicure and it lasts me at least 3 weeks, if not longer. Nancy and Chi are the best!!!
