Sign in to reviewSunnyvale Costco of Trader Joe's. The workers are working VERY hard to keep this place replenished and they are great / friendly just like other Trader Joe's. It's CROWDED. Starting with the compact parking lot. People everywhere. Workers trying to get through everyone. People checking every meat package to pick the best one. People saying excuse me to get through. T-Mobile reception is dead here. Homeless people begging for money outside. There was this one family telling their kids to get in multiple lines. Loudly saying "Maybe, I will be first, maybe you will be first! Maybe he will be first!" like innocent family fun. Then once the little girl's line moved the fastest, the shameless whole family moved over there with their 3 carts. Never coming back to this location.
I had a great experience in this Trader Joe’s location. There were a lot of selections and I was able to find everything that I needed in my bucket list, which is not the case for all Trader Joe’s locations. Otherwise, the store was clean and well stocked, the staff were friendly, and there were a good amount of selections as I have said. Overall, it’s a great Trader Joe’s location.
The store is filled with impulse items and sweets. The frozen section is filled with plastic-heavy packaging. TJ's has a monopoly on the items inside, so for example, "Pasture-raised eggs," they appear to have a great price, but it's too good to be true: they have yellow yolks and there is no alternative. I couldn't find oat creamer that wasn't packed with sweetener; you are at the mercy of whatever the powers that be have decided to stock. As for many other recipe items, you'll be hard pressed to find them here, especially with the haphazard layout. The produce is generally bland, and the source of meat is as ambiguous as the eggs. Whole Foods has a much wider selection up the street. They have a more affordable in-house brand, but also outside options when needed. You can buy Vital Pature Raised eggs and Clover milk as an alternative to the 365. You can easily find recipe ingredients without being tempted by an endless array of novelty items and sugary sweets. They also have ethically-raised meat, so you always know where it is coming from. TJ's is good if you want sugary baked goods, or ravioli at a good price. Other than that, there's not really much here I would buy.
I am a regular customer here in this store. I joined many social media discussion groups for Trder Joe's news and new products. Everyone is taking pictures and sharing and discussing when shopping in Trader Joe's. On June 3rd 13:30 pm, I was shopping in this store and walking by the booth with new insulated bags. I took a picture to share with my family. The male and female staff by the booth both stopped me and told me I was not allowed to take a picture. This caught me by surprise especially their attitude was not very friendly. If this is your new policy, make sure you put a big sign and make a major post on all your social media platforms.
