⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I honestly wish I had discovered this vegetarian restaurant sooner—everything was absolutely amazing, a solid 10/10! The grilled vegetarian “fish” was outstanding, and the highlight for me was a brand-new dish: snails stir-fried with coconut milk. The owner kindly made it especially for us to try even though it’s not on the menu yet, and it was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and very relaxing, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. On top of that, the owner’s hospitality was truly exceptional and made us feel so welcome. I’ll definitely be back tomorrow with my son—especially since they’re offering a take-out promotion (and I can never say no to great food and a good deal!). Highly, highly recommended!

Looking for someone new I stumbled upon this hidden gem. I’m glad I did because the customer service was spot on. Upon entering w we were the only customers but that didn’t last long. It was apparent that we were “late to the party.” This place is a well kept secret. I loved the service - friendly, personable, and the lady really wanted to ensure being first timers that we liked what we ate. My friend who hates tofu couldn’t keep her chopsticks out of my plate. The tofu was fresh, crispy, and extremely tasty. It was not salty at all and it had a mild kick! I give this place 10/10. The facilities were clean as was the dining environment. I’ll be back for sure! If you like Vietnamese cuisine and happen to be vegan or not this is a wonderful place to dine. They hand make their own meat substitutes which have less processing and less unhealthy ingredients. Which is another plus.

I said we’ve got to get some hot soups today while it’s still cold in Houston; before it warms up. And a dear friend said hey let’s try this vegan Vietnamese restaurant on Bellaire Boulevard, run by a mom and her daughter and I thought the Vietnamese equivalent of a “cocinera tradicional”?, sign me up. And so we met up at Tue Tam on Bellaire to sample. And I’m kind of excited about vegan Vietnamese because there’s some organ meats and some flavor profiles that are meat based in Vietnamese that can be kind of goofy for me so here was an opportunity to get some flavors without having to worry about weird organ parts, cubes of blood and other stuff that aren’t my first choices. I started with a soup associated with crab originally. Bun Rieu. Tomato and noodle based. John and Richi joined me and we shared a vegetarian banh xeo (perfect for anyone with allergies to shrimp. And an additional soup and a vegan riff on shaking beef. A great place for sure.

We loved the papaya salad & shaking tofu fried rice. The spice was mild for a spice lover like me but that was not a problem since it tasted so good. We ordered veg pho but they ran out so they gave us noodle soup and that was ok too. Would definitely go back there when we have opportunity. It’s also a walkable distance from Hongkong market so you can also shop and enjoy vegetarian meal.
