Dr Scolaro is awesome. She is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Providing exceptional care for my needs. Bianca the hygienist was awesome as she cleaned my teeth and provided extra care for my visit. She was also friendly, knowledgeable and made recommendations for my dental care. Excellent visit and welcoming staff as well as the X-ray technician were great.

I went about a year ago and my teeth have been sensitive and painful ever since following the dentists/orthodontists suggestion. I've always heard brushing your teeth too hard can cause problems and it doesn't take much pressure to get them clean. When they polished my teeth they put wayyyyy more pressure than I would ever think to do while brushing. Around the same time, a piece of my permanent retainer broke and the orthodontist recommended I should switch from a permanent retainer to the one like Invisalign. When I went back to pick them up, the hygienist told me she kept her permanent one because her teeth would move and become sensitive if she had her retainer out during the day. The orthodontist never mentioned this and by then, he had already removed my permanent retainer so I was committed. Ever since I switched, my teeth have been sensitive and painful. The ortho said my best option was to wear the retainers all the time...so why didn't we just stick with the permanent one in the first place!? He also said because of my permanent retainer, I had a speech impediment from the way my tongue sits in my mouth, and should get braces...which nobody has ever mentioned to me since having a retainer. If anything, the Invisalign retainer causing more issues with my speaking than a permanent one. I fully believe this was just him trying to get me to spend thousands of dollars going through the braces process again. I will never go back here and would not recommend it to anybody.

Dr. Scolaro and the team at the Tustin dental office are great. Great location, plenty of parking and they are easy to get ahold of for any issues/changes. Caitlin was my hygienist and took the time to look at my old x-rays to make sure there were no plaques/tartar hiding below the gum line. 10/10, my fourth visit to this office and I’ll keep coming back!

The front office staff ( not all, the young intern at the front desk) lacks professionalism and proper client service skills, which creates a poor first impression. Despite the doctors and technicians being knowledgeable and attentive, my overall experience was disappointing due to the administrative handling. My dad waited for about 1 hour and 30 minutes for a basic cleaning appointment, only to be told at the end, “All set for today, you can leave,” without receiving the service he had scheduled. I believe others with the right skills, knowledge, and attitude would truly appreciate the opportunity to work here and treat clients with more respect and friendliness. Recommendation: The practice should focus on improving front desk training and customer service to ensure patients are treated respectfully and appointments are managed efficiently.

When I first went here a few years ago they did a deep cleaning - my last visit the hygenist insited on deep cleaning and was rude to me because I declined deep cleanig (by law I have a right to refuse recommended treatment). The dentist and office manager insisted that deep cleaning is required - I told them I refused because of a medical condition that deep cleaning would put me at risk - they said I needed to bring in a doctor's note regarding no deep cleaning...I submitted my doctor's note to them today for my file that says "no deep cleaning" - but then they insulted me by saying they have to "look into the note" - they said they need to "verify" my doctor's note (it is written on doctor's prescrition paper and signed by him...but that is not verfication for the dentis?!). I am going to call my insurance to find a new dentist that does not insult their patients.
