If I could post this without a star I would. Had the worst salon experience in my life! I showed up a little before my appointment and was told that my hair dresser was finishing a blow out and would be with me shortly. Not a problem, looked around the store then sat down. No one informed me how late he was running. The salon manager walked by and asked if I had checked in, in which I responded yes. She then came back to tell me he was going to be an additional 30 mins late due to his client being 30 mins late, on top of the 30 I had already waited. I explained that I had to be out by 5:30 but seeing as we were 2 hours till that time, shouldn’t be a problem. He was finally done with his blow out, got me in the chair, talked less than 5 mins and took me to “wash” my hair. He barely washed it and I had booked a scalp treatment, which I had a feeling he did not do. He took me back to the chair to start my cut. He then walked away for over 15 mins because he was doing another customers color at the same time as my hair cut appointment. I almost got up and left but he had started the cut. He then kept going back and forth to where my hair pretty much dried and he had to re-wet my hair. Once he was done with the cut, he pawned me off on another stylist to dry my hair and style it. When I went to pay, they charged me for the scalp treatment, his full price and for the girl that he pawned me off to that dried and styled my hair. I asked to speak to the manager and told her everything and she was aware of the whole situation. She came back and said that she would take the scalp treatment off but nothing about the other services. She tried to “make up” for it by throwing in a sample of shampoo. Seriously?! I’ve always had great service at Ulta but I will never return. Beware of this store!

Our visit today was great. Dora was incredibly kind, welcoming, and took excellent care of us. Unfortunately, another coworker made our experience unpleasant. I don’t know her name, but she appeared to be an older Indian woman with glasses and her hair tied back. When her coworker asked if we needed anything, she rolled her eyes and was extremely rude. I speak English, but my two friends do not, and I honestly felt that she treated them differently because they couldn’t speak English. It made us feel very uncomfortable and came across as disrespectful. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this location this past weekend. All of the ladies—Starrina, Alison, and Liliana—were amazing and took the time to address all of our skin care questions and concerns. Alison and Starrina gave me incredible tips on how to improve my skin and provided clear pointers on where I should start my new routine. Liliana was a huge help to my mother-in-law; she found her perfect makeup match and recommended some fantastic skin care products. We were both so pleased with the personalized service and will definitely be returning here for more help and products in the future!"

One review stated, "You get what you're looking for". Well, I was looking for service and it was nowhere to be found at 2:45 on a Thursday afternoon. 2 staff members near the register having a conversation, 1 at the register actually working and at least 3 in the salon area. Not even one greeting. Only 1 customer that I could see (at the register). Then one of them had the nerve to speak as I was leaving. And yes, I planned on purchasing. I needed to replace all my makeup and be re-color matched. Retail customer service is just horrible now. I will take my money where people still take pride in what they do OR want to serve everyone.

I recently visited Ulta Beauty to get highlights for the very first time in my life, and unfortunately it turned out to be one of the most terrible salon experiences I’ve ever had. I got my highlights done just 2–3 days ago, and within the first 24 hours I already noticed the color fading. On top of that, my hair had two to three different colors mixed in, which looked patchy, uneven, and nothing like how proper highlights should look. I trusted Ulta Beauty for this service, but the result was extremely disappointing. When I went back to the manager to fix the issue and make my hair one even color, they told me the original stylist was not available. Instead of taking responsibility for the poor-quality work, they tried to charge me an additional amount to fix a mistake that wasn’t mine. The fading and the inconsistent colors were clearly due to their stylist’s work — even the stylist who checked my hair at the time of the correction confirmed that my hair was unevenly toned. Yet they still expected me to pay extra to fix it. This was my first experience getting highlights, and sadly it has made me lose all trust in Ulta Beauty’s salon services. The way they handled the situation felt unprofessional and unfair. I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and completely let down. I will not be choosing Ulta Beauty for any future hair services.
