Flavor variety is a recurring reason customers return. Reviews mention a maple-flavored donut and an oatmeal cream donut with a soft, whipped, cream-cheese-like filling. Customers also describe the donuts as delicious and say there are many flavors to choose from. The specific selection may vary, so checking what is available in the shop is the best way to find a favorite. For anyone seeking a plant-based treat, customers have noted that vegan options are available. One reviewer who finds it challenging to locate enjoyable vegan donuts appreciated being able to choose among flavorful options here.

The atmosphere, as reflected in customer experiences, can feel personal and welcoming. One visitor praised Lena for being especially lovely and said the visit made their day. Another customer describes ordering donuts at least monthly as a family tradition, particularly on weekends. That makes Union Square Donuts a fitting option for a casual family treat, a shared box for a weekend gathering, or a quick stop when a coffee break calls for something sweet. The range of flavors and reported vegan choices can also make it easier to bring home a selection for people with different preferences.

Reviews are not uniformly positive about the in-store experience. One customer reported noticing an unpleasant, fishy or sewage-like smell during several visits over a few months, while still describing the donuts as good. Because this is one reviewer’s account, experiences may differ, but it is useful context for anyone planning a visit. Overall, customer comments point to flavorful donuts, memorable choices such as maple and oatmeal cream, and vegan options, alongside a concern about the smell raised in a review. For a current visit, stop by 20 Bow St during the posted hours and ask about the day’s available flavors and plant-based choices.
