I stopped in at Yafa for the first time and was immediately met with fantastic hospitality. Before I even ordered, the gal behind the counter asked about food allergies and offered me samples of chai and various pastries. I ended up ordering a couple of burek snails and a side of labneh. The cafe is a bit limited in seating but I was able to find a spot in the corner. The burek was flaky but not dry and it paired well with the labneh. The lemonada was refreshing and had the perfect amount of mint flavor. I can see why Yafa is a popular spot! I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
The bakery items were delicious!! The staff were also amazing. One of the staff gave us like 7 free samples and a free sample of chai tea and they were super nice. The bakery goods are a bit expensive themselves, but for the free samples it’s honestly worth it! I have never tried these types of desserts but they were delicious and much sweeter than you expected. The only one I didn’t like as much from what I tried was the pistachio baklava roll (the green one in the pic) but other than that I love it!! Another thing to keep in mind is that although the bakery is beautiful and well decorated, there is limited seating and it tends to get crowded quickly.
Here’s a polished review you can post: From the moment we walked into Yafa Bakery, we felt genuinely welcomed. The hospitality was exceptional, and everyone made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The owner was incredibly kind and generous. He let us try so many different samples, which made the experience even more special. As we were leaving, he even said goodbye by offering us fresh iced mint tea, such a thoughtful touch that perfectly reflected the warmth and generosity of the place. Yafa Bakery is more than just a bakery—it’s an experience. Amazing food, outstanding service, and unforgettable hospitality. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back!
Was in town for a few days and Found this super good Palestinian café that was a block away from my hotel. They had baklava, Turkish delights, dates and many more different treats and really good dirty chai latte. . The presentation was beautiful.
Omg the service here is so sweet - they care and remember all of their customers and their pastries are SO good. Well balanced flavors. Their chai drink is also amazing - strong flavor without being overwhelming. Perfect. Would get again. Loved their Classic Pistachio Baklava - it didn’t have that overly sweetness that you usually taste at other bakeries and restaurants that make and serve baklava. You could taste all the flavors. Their Palma is my favorite and Almondo is a close second. It holds its structure when you bit into it and then melts in your mouth. Will definitely be back! Small cafe with not a lot of seating. Best to grab and go. There is a line on the weekends but it goes by quickly.
