This restaurant is fantastic. Food is scratch made, with great depth of flavor. Their banh mi is on fabulous bread with all the correct toppings, and the side of broth is a unique and amazing touch. The second time I came, I got the special duck leg soup and it was rich, well seasoned, with crispy duck skin and generous portion of duck. Heaven! Cold rice noodles salad came with tasty shrimp cakes and sweet sauce, perfect on a hot day. The hot autumn roll was unique and beautiful, and a refreshing departure from a traditional spring roll.
Stopped by this restaurant after discovering it while searching for pho in the Mesa area. Catchy name, friendly service, and amazing food. I ordered the pho with vegetables because I wanted something lighter. Perfect broth and noodles, and the different vegetables were cooked perfectly. I’m looking forward to coming back to try some of their other menu items.
I ordered the house special pho and spring roll. I never had the spring roll that was so bad in a Vietnamese restaurant. The wrap was hard and dry. I think it was probably made overnight and let it dried up in the kitchen. The pho is mediocre at the best. The soup is lack of flavor and there isn't much meat in the bowl. The worst part, they charge service fee for my single person dining. The waitress was nice and I almost paid her twice if I haven't noticed service charge. I felt bad for her. But I definitely will not going back.
Ordered a dish with shrimp and it had a single one in the pho. Said excuse me many times to a waiter near by like 4 feet maybe 5. Got ignored and walked past without a look. Then had a spilt drink that was also ignored for 5 min. Then got a …
I am from Vancouver Canada. My family (of 5) and I visited Arizona for the first time. I came across this Vietnamese restaurant in Asian District. We ordered (dine-in) 2x Bun Bo Hue soup, 1x Egg noodle soup, 1x rice plate, 1x appetizer spring rolls and 1 appetizer chicken wings (2pcs). I thought the serving is ridiculously small for the price compared to my usuals. Soup is ok. Spring rolls are not crispy. Chicken wings are ok cos my kid ate them. Our total bill was USD130 which sounds too much for me for Viet food. There was an additional mandatory 18% service charge on top of the bill plus state taxes - is it 5.6% in a restaurant?. You have no choice but to pay it. This is the most I paid for Viet food. $130 USD is about $180 Canadian dollars. I think there are more affordable restaurants out there without the automatic service charges.
