Uwajimaya Beaverton is an Asian grocery store at 10500 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy in Beaverton, Oregon. It brings together grocery shopping, deli and grab-and-go food, and a range of specialty finds under one roof. Customers describe a broad selection that makes it a useful stop both for stocking up on familiar favorites and for discovering something new. The store is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., giving local shoppers and visitors a consistent window to plan a visit.
The deli and prepared-food area is a particular draw. Customer reviews call out the hot bar and prepackaged grab-and-go choices, with tofu musubi singled out as a favorite. These options can suit shoppers looking for a convenient meal or snack while browsing, as well as visitors making a dedicated trip for Asian food. The selection and availability may vary, so it is best to treat specific dishes as customer favorites rather than guaranteed daily offerings. One reviewer also mentions Beard Papa’s, another food stop associated with the visit.
Beyond the food, shoppers mention a notable candy selection, unique grocery items, an in-store bookstore or library area, and office supplies. Officially licensed Bandai Gashapon machines add a playful attraction for visitors who enjoy collectible capsule toys. That mix can make Uwajimaya Beaverton appealing to families, curious browsers, people seeking specialty ingredients, and fans of Japanese snacks and pop-culture collectibles. Reviews often emphasize the variety, though some shoppers feel prices run higher than at other local stores.
Experiences of the store are not entirely uniform. Some reviewers describe it as clean and organized and praise the deli, while others have raised concerns about empty product sections, produce condition, fish tanks, or the building feeling dated. A reviewer also notes that there is no seating for eating, so prepared food may be more convenient to take away than to enjoy on-site. These perspectives offer useful context for planning: come for the selection and ready-to-go food, and keep in mind that conditions and inventory can change.

Best hot bar/grab-and-go spot in the Portland metro area. I especially love their tofu musubi! Truth be told, I go for the food but stay for the dope toys! Those officially licensed Bandai Gashapon machines are the pinnacle of cheap thrills. In my experience this store is always clean and organized in a comfortable way.
Great selection, I found a lot of unique items. They have a large library with some cool office supplies. The candy selection was fantastic. The prices are higher than other local shops but I would definitely recommend stopping by and checking things out.
This used to be a 5-star culinary experience. Used to be proud of shopping here since 2008. Today? Clouded fish tanks with no live fish. Empty sections of products. Warm produce. Skinny oxtails for prime price. A deli that frequently is the only reason why people go. No seating to eat. Beard Papa's wasn't even open. Their dipping sauces for noodles dissappeared. Pepper and spice in almost every aisle. Many products are way overpriced. A disappearing sake section which used to be unrrivaled in Oregon. The restaurant is closed off. Almost nobody in the book store. The kitchen section appears to sell more Chinese and Korean cookware than Japanese. The tea section is getting sadder every year. Nearly empty drink section shelves. Overpriced instant ramen that will destroy your wallet and your gut at the same time. Uwajimaya - lucky for you that your poke is still my favorite. Otherwise, braddah cuz. Your store is dying. Oh yeah - your self checkout lady was micromanaging my self checkout experience - apparently she thought I was inccapable of buying my groceries - well - lady - I am a digital systems architect and a son of a master chef. By the way - my father was a part of the James Beard Foundation - and the Roti. Uwajimaya - you need help.
Was on a weekend vacation in Vancouver WA and drove here just to get my Asian food on! I can always depend on Uwajimaya to have to good prepackaged foods in the deli/to-go section. This location is smaller than other stores, and the building itself is dated and in need of a modern renovation, but the food quality is top notch! I LOVE UWAJIMAYA!💕
I travel anywhere from 3 to 5 hours just to come to Uwajimaya. The immense selection is amazing! Along with the bookstore located inside, I'm able to stock up on all my cravings and usually spend at least a couple hundred each visit. The …
