It can also be a practical stop for shoppers looking for vegetables and seafood, although the selection may depend on the season and the day.
A little preparation can make the visit easier. One reviewer found communication difficult because no one they encountered spoke English, so visitors who do not speak Vietnamese may want to be patient and use simple ways to communicate. The same reviewer emphasized that people were friendly, even when conversation was challenging. Vietnamese Farmers Market has a 4.2-star rating from 33 reviews, reflecting varied visitor experiences. For the most accurate plans, keep in mind the posted Saturday hours and the possibility that products and quantities change. Visit with an open mind, arrive early, and enjoy a distinctive community market in New Orleans.

What an amazing experience. We’re so glad we did.
Difficult for an American. No one spoke English. Lovely people. This time of the year, very little produce available. Several offerings of fish & shrimp but couldn't tell how fresh they were. Not sure I'd return but maybe that's how the community likes it ;-). But no one was mean, everyone smiled and really tried to understand, just was a huge barrier.
It is a very traditional Vietnamese street market. Much appreciated to local authorities who granted permit to this kind of events.
excellent product very cheap and quality and all fresh vegetables seafood and much more
You need to come early - 4:30am Saturdays
