The annual Crawfish Festival here is a must-visit! It only happens once a year and the atmosphere is incredibly lively and family-friendly. I love that they offer a huge variety of Vietnamese street food alongside the crawfish. The crawfish are well-seasoned, and the community vibe is amazing. It gets very crowded, so come early to find parking, but it’s absolutely worth it for the food and the fun!
I attended the 6:30am weekday mass here. Unfortunately, I dont speak Vietnamese, but fortunately the order of Mass is always the same. I like to attend mass daily when possible, but sadly, the churches around my area dont offer one before I have to be at work with the exception of this one. My experience here was wonderful. This is a very reverent parish in a beautiful cathedral. I definitely stood out, but felt very welcome. While taking the Eucharist, the priest even used english for me which was a very nice gesture. I followed the readings in my language from my missal. The deacon even tapped me on the shoulder and said "welcome to our parish" on his way out at the conclusion of mass. I got to start my day with reverent worship, receive the Eucharist, and start my way to work charged with love of our Lord. I will be back.
Vietnamese American parish that was recently built/renovated to meet demands of growing Vietnamese community since 1980s The new church building is beautiful, spacious and good acoustics as well. Love the music from the choir. This church even offer the public a chance to venerate the relics of the patron of the parish name sake - Vietnamese martyrs. (see my photos)
Felt very good simply sitting here today. Warmth, not from the heater. But from the spirit.
The nuns should have better manners.
