Sign in to reviewA+++ for Vietnom's catering! I was organizing a corporate event and my coworkers raved about the bowls at Vietnom. It's healthy, light, and the catering process was seamless. Show stopper was the eggrolls! We catered for 40 people for the spicy beef, lemongrass chicken, tofu as proteins on the vermicelli and rice bowls (bun thit nuong). The owner, Viet, was affable and flexible, answering all inquiries. He even came to our event early to help set-up, bringing placards for each tray. He was very meticulous in the order of the trays, cleaning up the table, especially since he really didn't have to. He even went back and forth between the venue to get extra serving tongs, going above and beyond! This was the best catering service I've ever had. It was ~$20/person and very budget friendly! There was many toppings of cilantro, lettuce, cucumber, pickled radish, and their sauces of nuoc mam (fish sauce), vegan soy sauce, and scallion oil. Food was very fresh. There was more than enough food, we even had leftovers at the end. I would recommend this small business to anyone looking for corporate catering. I'm definitely going to come back!
Love Vietnamese food and this place was good. However, for $20 a bowl (tip not included) I would expect nothing less. They charge 50 cent extra for all the little things other places normally include; shallots, peanuts. When you order everything is automated; you order at a kiosk. There was a small line, but I noticed the people working there did not say Hello or engage any of the customers. When you order via a kiosk and the people don’t even greet you it’s hard to justify an 18% tip. The food was super tasty, but again $20 is a little steep for a bowl. The location is inside of a community cafeteria style market. Very cool. Lots of great food choices, but the prices are a little on the high side, however, I did have half for lunch, and the other half of my bowl for dinner. So a decent portion.
Whatever you do, do NOT under any circumstance order the Thai Tea, no matter how delectable it looks in the hands of other customers. The Thai Tea is disgusting. Way too sweet, and has a hybrid cardboard/metallic aftertaste that the English dictionary is incapable of describing. I can't speak to the rest of the food (looked delicious), but the Thai Tea lured me in. My friend and I had to chuck it and we weren't even half way through! What a waste.
Food had a good flavor, it went during non peek hours so it didn't seem as fresh as it should. The lemongrass pork had a good flavor, just felt like it was the last in the pot. The ladies at the counter weren't that helpful and even though it's supposed to be optional vegan or meat eggroll the woman assumed I wanted vegan. She told the other girl to give me a vegan egg roll and then I asked isn't it optional is when she said oh yes and actually wanted the meat kind which was actually very good. Do I have to return 🤔 not really, however it's not a terrible option. Maybe if a few hours later I didn't keep burping the taste of the pork, which let's me know it wasn't as fresh.
Not a bad place to get a taste for Vietnamese food. I tried the Rice noodle bowl with stir fried tofu and crispy vegan egg roll. Despite being vegan the egg roll was delicious, crispy, flavorful, and stuffed to bursting. I wish there was option just get the egg roll on its own. The service was great and very understanding of all dietary restrictions and allergens. Took roughly 15 minutes to prepare the order. However, the piece at 20$ a bowl is quite prohibitive for the volume and quality of food provided.
