WOW!!! Run, don’t walk here. These are the best egg rolls I’ve ever had! Perfect crispiness & flavor. Not too much pepper, seasoned so well you don’t even need fish sauce with it. I heard about this place from Alyssa Nguyen, the gaming foodie on IG & she raved about how amazing these eggrolls were & someone else on reddit also recommended this place. I came around 1245 pm on a Saturday & the tiny place was packed! The only note I have is I wish they had a more orderly set up w pick ups on the left & new orders on the right but we all just piled in & tried to remember who was in front & behind us. I only got 3 to try & they’re like 85 cents a piece. A steal! I wish I had gotten twice as many & am already thinking of going back & wondering how I can pack some of these & take them to Houston with me. Line was long but fast. Cashier was efficient. Also got sesame balls for $4 but honestly, just spend your $ on the hot, fresh, crispy eggrolls! Definitely coming back. Wish we had one in my city.
We ordered 20 egg rolls ($16). This restaurant is a small hole in the wall place that basically only sells egg rolls to go. They have a few other frozen items and Viet bakery items, but the main attraction here are the egg rolls. These egg rolls are extremely cheap (less than $1 per egg roll) yet really tasty and make an excellent option to bring to potlucks and other gatherings. I came here on July 4 and the line was extremely long, but I assume the line is shorter on other days. I would call and order ahead to avoid waiting as long. Overall, I would recommend if you want a lot of egg rolls to eat yourself or for large gatherings.
The taste is good - However, for what you get compared to what you used to get for the money, you are so screwed. They are charging so much money you used to get them for like three for a dollar and then $.50 apiece and then now they’re like $.86 apiece for what no way no way I’m done going here. Forget it. You can have your little scrawny egg rolls thank you. I’ll make my own home.
We’ve been ordering their egg rolls for many years now & they still taste really good! You have to oder a head of time bc they don’t really have extra to sell for walk ins unless you get lucky.
