Worst mental health care practioner I've ever had, her answer to any issue is to keep prescribing meds, and increase dosages. I was falsely diagnosed with Bipolar by Violette, turns out you need to take an actual test, instead of someone just having a hunch. She upped my SSRIs which lead to a manic episode, I was hospitalized. I went from having some sleep issues to being hospitalized because Violette isn't a doctor for the sake of helping people, she's just a small business woman enjoying easy sales. Go to someone who actually genuinely cares about their job, not someone who seems like they failed upwards and overestimates the value of their non-medical opinion.

Dr. Hong is both professional and deeply compassionate. She is one of the first people I turn to when I need perspective in a challenging situation. Her unwavering focus on what is right and necessary—rather than what is merely convenient or appeasing—sets her apart. If I ever need to calibrate my own moral compass, I know I can trust hers to guide me in the right direction.

I strongly recommend seeking a different psychiatrist, as Dr. Hong not only shows a lack of empathy toward patients but also charges exorbitant fees. These two statements below are copied directly from the intake questionnaire form (several years earlier) AND the 2024 announcement form. She frequently goes off topic to pad the session time, and when on vacation, fails to arrange an appropriate backup doctor to assist with medication needs. ------- Please be aware of the following maximum out-of-pocket scenarios: 1. Medication management: typically requires an initial 2-3 hour appointment ($1500 for minor, $900 adult), plus up to weekly 30 minute appointments at $375 each. This could lead to a total of $20,000 over a 12 month period of time. 2. Therapy: typically requires an initial 2-3 hour appointment ($1500 for minor, $900 adult), plus up to weekly 45 minute appointments at $550 each. This could lead to a total of $30,000 over a 12 month period of time. ------- Effective January 15th 2024: Base rate for adults: $950/hour; 30 minute follow up is $475 Base rate for under 18 years old: $1200/hour; 30 minute follow up is $600 Weekend request for a prescription refill: $50 Appointment missed or cancelled without 24-hour notice: $300
