Notable within their programming is a committed focus on serving military veterans and their spouses. Team members dedicate significant time to helping veteran families navigate specific benefits, emotional needs, and personalized support systems during this vulnerable chapter. My interaction with VITAS has been wonderful so far. Lily and her team have been extremely professional. They have been in contact with us throughout and answered any questions we have had. Admission for us was a minor hiccup on our side, but they were gracious and helpful in addressing our issues. I have been a supervisor for many years. People don’t normally take the time to write good reviews. Mostly, all you hear is the negative. When I see great people and great work, I have to let it be known. These are people who have earned my trust and provide excellent care.
This would be a zero star review if possible. My mother is currently in hospice. Vitas has failed on multiple levels to provide timely service. She was admitted to hospice Friday 6/10 and has seen her assigned nurse one time. Calls go …
Going through the hospice process with a loved one is scary and overwhelming, but I couldn't be more grateful for everything the VITAS team did to help us through it. We began working with them in-patient at Piedmont Hospital where Rebecca, …
It is with deep disappointment that we feel compelled to speak out about the level of service our family experienced with this hospice company. Hospice care is meant to provide compassion, dignity, and timely support during one of the most vulnerable moments in a family’s life. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations. When our loved one passed away, we were left waiting an unreasonable amount of time for a staff member to arrive and pronounce the patient deceased. During a time of grief and emotional distress, families should not be left feeling abandoned or unsupported. The delay added unnecessary trauma to an already heartbreaking situation. Hospice organizations are entrusted with providing comfort, responsiveness, and professionalism. Timely pronouncement and guidance after death are essential components of respectful end-of-life care. We believe families deserve better communication, faster response times, and a higher standard of accountability.
I would like to take this moment to say thank you so much to Vista Healthcare. Especially, to Larry Robeart. For dedicating himself and his time to Veterans, and helping in assisting their spouses. He has helped me in so many ways, and …
