YA MEI SPA is a massage therapist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 260 S 10th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107. It offers massage services for people looking to make time for hands-on care in the city, whether they are stopping in as a walk-in or arranging a visit around a busy day. The business is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., giving customers a broad range of times to consider. Its location on South 10th Street makes the address useful to check before heading over, especially if this is your first visit. For anyone comparing massage options in Philadelphia, YA MEI SPA is one local choice to learn about and contact directly for current service details.

Customer feedback describes a range of massage experiences rather than one result that will suit everyone. One reviewer praised a shoulder-focused massage that helped address pain and mentioned hot stones, oils or lotion, peaceful music, and relaxing lighting. That customer also described the space as clean and calming. Other reviews describe a foot massage or stronger pressure, which may appeal to people who prefer firm work. Because comfort and preferred pressure are personal, it is worth explaining what feels right for you before the session begins. If you are sensitive to pressure, ask for a lighter approach and speak up during the massage so the therapist can adjust.

The reviews also raise practical concerns that prospective customers should keep in mind. Several reviewers reported disagreements about tips or the final amount charged, while another described interruptions from phone calls during a session. These accounts are individual customer reports, but they make it sensible to confirm the full price, payment method, and any tip expectations before treatment starts. Repeat the amount you authorize and check the total at checkout. You can also ask whether the session is expected to be uninterrupted. Clear communication beforehand can help you decide whether the experience is a fit and avoid confusion about payment.

YA MEI SPA may be worth considering if you are seeking a massage in Philadelphia, appreciate the option of a walk-in when available, or prefer a session with firm pressure. A customer has also described a calming atmosphere and hot-stone service, though experiences vary and those details should be confirmed directly if they matter to your visit. The business has a 4.0 rating based on 35 reviews, reflecting a mix of positive and critical feedback. Before you go, contact YA MEI SPA to verify available services, appointment or walk-in availability, pricing, and how to communicate pressure preferences. With expectations discussed clearly, you can make a more informed choice about whether this South 10th Street massage therapist meets your needs.

Foot massage was fine but upon checking out she asked how much to add for the tip. I told her what to add and repeated the total. It was a $60 base massage and she proceeded to charge me $84, nearly tripling what I told her to add. I told her she owed me money back and she then tried negotiating with me for the tip while also telling me she didn’t have cash to refund me. I argued and told her she needed to give me my money back as that was not authorized. She eventually ran to the back and came back with $9 cash, still not giving me what I was owed. Needless to say I will not be going back and based on other reviews this seems to be a regular occurrence. There was a sign in the room not to review them on social which I noticed halfway through, that probably should have been the first red flag.

I hate to say it, but I don’t recommend coming here. I have a pounding headache after this massage, don’t feel relaxed or good at all. She also got up 5 times during the hour to answer phone calls. I paid the $60 and tipped her $20 before the massage started, this was in no way an $80 experience. Don’t bother

I stopped in the other day, they wanted payment first so I gave them $90 plus $20 tip in cash. She essentially said she wanted more. I usually give more to my regular places, but this was my first time and that is still over 20%, and in cash. So I walked right out. Went next door to Wee Massage. Go there. They were great! Always amazes me people like the girls here seem to think this is a normal business practice. If you want a certain price, charge it. Don’t complain a tip isn’t enough. It’s beyond petty.

I think this place would be good for people who like pressure or don't feel much. Unfortunately, that is not me. I'm an average/skinny fat body type, so I feel everything easily. Said the pressure was too much a couple of times but still kept feeling her thumbs really strong in each movement. At one point, my feet started visibly cramping, and I don't think the masseuse noticed at all, which was weird. I had to wriggle my feet away to stop it. Outside that, the hot stones were nice and so was the staff. The place is kept clean. I might try it again in a few months, but I'm not sure.

Awesome experience! They were able to take me right away as a walk-in. There was peaceful music and relaxing lighting. My masseuse gave me exactly the massage I was looking for to fix the pain in my shoulder. They used hot stones oils/lotion. The place is clean and calming, and I will definitely go back!
