YourMechanic is a mechanic service associated with Tampa, Florida, listed at 100 Ashley Dr S Ste 608, Tampa, FL 33602. For local drivers looking for help with a vehicle concern, the listing provides a Tampa contact point and shows availability every day of the week, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The business has a 4.7-star rating across 1,458 reviews. Those figures offer useful context, but individual customer accounts also describe experiences that prospective customers may want to consider before scheduling.

Customer feedback indicates that appointments may involve an initial diagnostic visit and that repair needs can include issues such as a radiator or radiator fan. The available information does not confirm a complete service menu, so it is sensible to ask whether YourMechanic can address your particular make, model, year, and concern before arranging a visit. Confirming these details in advance can help establish whether the requested inspection or repair is within the service’s capabilities and what the next step will involve.

The appointment process is an important point to clarify. Some reviewers report difficulty getting through an automated phone system, delayed callbacks, or not receiving the expected call or text on the appointment day. Others describe learning after a diagnostic appointment that their particular vehicle could not be serviced, despite having shared vehicle details beforehand. These are customer-reported experiences, not a guarantee that every appointment will go the same way, but they make it worthwhile to request clear confirmation of the appointment, communication method, and vehicle eligibility.

A few reviews also raise concerns about repair follow-up, costs, or work that customers felt was not handled as expected. If you proceed, consider asking for the proposed work and any estimate in writing, discussing what is included before approving repairs, and keeping relevant messages and service records. If a diagnostic visit is recommended, ask what it covers and whether it will lead to a repair quote. These practical questions can make expectations clearer for both sides and help you decide whether the service fits your needs.

YourMechanic may be worth considering for Tampa-area drivers who want to explore mechanic assistance and can confirm the details of their vehicle and appointment directly. The listed hours, Tampa address, and overall rating provide a starting point, while the mixed review comments point to areas where clear communication matters. Before booking, verify availability for your specific vehicle and requested work, ask how appointment updates will arrive, and confirm the expected process and costs. Taking those steps can help you make an informed choice about automotive service in Tampa, Florida.

Their automated AI system is TERRRRRIBLE. Be prepared to be on the phone for 10+ minutes just to maybe make an appt. I've called 3x. The 1st time I hung up bc I could not answer all the ai's questions bc I did not have the info in front of me. The 2nd time they stated they'd call back- didn't happen. 3rd time, the lady wanted to give me a quote without even looking at the car to verify what is wrong. You cannot bypass the stupid ai guy. Too frustrating to deal with.

Waited all day for the mechanic with my phone in hand and never received a single call, text, or voicemail. When I contacted customer service, I was told the mechanic had attempted to call and text me but couldn't reach me, which is simply not true. What makes this even more frustrating is that about five minutes after I finished speaking with customer service, I suddenly received two text messages saying the mechanic was on his way and another saying he had arrived. If those notifications had actually been sent when they were supposed to, this entire situation could have been avoided. Instead, I ended up losing $160 for an appointment I was present and waiting for. Extremely disappointing experience and poor communication.

Despite providing the model, year, and vehicle details earlier for the "diagnostic" appointment, they told me after the visit that they couldn't service that specific year or model, even though I had already sent the information beforehand. The visit felt pointless; they just repeated what I already knew about my fuel pump. It seemed like they tricked me into coming in and charging me, instead of letting me know upfront that they don't work on certain models or years.

Took THREE days to respond which hindered me from getting my parts replaced for free and had to pay for a new Radiator and a radiator fan myself. The service was completed in October of 2023 and failed in July of 2024. Do not choose them. …

He purposely put the cable of the hood at the wrong place (between the two hex head cap screw) so he could send me a quote to get it fixed for extra money. Especially, I told him I didn’t need him to send me the quote for it. Guess what? He still did. The cable of the hood was bent. That’s why my hood couldn’t close completely and he gave me some B.S. reason. I do not like dishonest technician
