I had a very disappointing experience with Zar. Initially, everything seemed fine, and the owner spoke a lot about customer satisfaction, saying she would not be satisfied unless her customers were happy. When I placed the order and asked for two identical outfits in different colors, she assured me they would look the same. However, once we received the order, the outfits looked nothing alike, did not meet the specifications we clearly provided through WhatsApp, and the quality was far below expectations. When I raised these concerns, the owner became rude and defensive instead of trying to resolve the issue. She insisted the outfits were “exactly what I asked for,” despite the written messages clearly showing otherwise. What was especially frustrating was that after the order arrived, she suddenly changed her story and told me, “You never get exactly what you request, it’s always just close to it.” That was never communicated when I placed the order. At the time of ordering, she had confidently assured me the outfits would match my requests. She also personally gave me the wrong Zelle number for payment, which resulted in me sending $200 to the wrong account. Instead of acknowledging her mistake, she blamed me for it. Trying to discuss the issues over the phone was extremely frustrating because she repeatedly hung up during conversations and then blamed me for the calls disconnecting. At no point did she genuinely listen to our concerns or make a sincere effort to fix the situation. I am thankful that all communication and specifications were documented in WhatsApp because otherwise she likely would have denied what was requested. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience really escalated to a point where I felt it was important to warn others. I had also recommended this business to others previously, and I had to contact them afterward to advise them not to proceed. Based on this experience, I would never order from Zar again and would not recommend this business to others.

I had a very bad experience with Zar.l ordered a Nikah saree and mehendi outfit for my dau.l told her that we will be coming for trial for both outfits as my daughter lives in New York and is on vacation from May 21 till May 26. l clearly told Shenaz that make sure parcel from India reach on time.She said everything would be here by May 20.Guess what parcel didn’t arrive.She didn’t had courtesy to tell us that parcel is delayed so don’t come.FYl l live in Dallas.We drove all the way to Houston on May 24.There we found out that parcel is delayed.Instead of apologizing she said parcel delivery is not under her control and promised that parcel will be here the next day.Next day was Memorial Day.Nothing came.We went to her store and told her we can’t stay longer as next day was a working day.She had my $600 deposit which was wasted and we came Dallas.Our trip cost us around $600 dollars.Total $1200.My daughter had to order the outfits from some other boutique from scratch.Also Zar will write everything you want in her notebook and still the product is not near to what you ordered .Never recommend this place to anyone.

ZAR is a wonderful place to look for Indian outfits for any occasion. I am a repeat customer buying outfits here for years…I have bought simple outfits for daily wear and outfits for wedding and religious events. Shehnaz has always given good advice and always willing to special order something if needed. Over the years I feel her outfits can be worn over and over…it stays looking elegant and maintains its new look.

I have been shopping with Shehnaz for over 15 years now. She has curated a lot of my looks and I always receive so many compliments for every outfit. My whole family has been loyal clientele for years and we cannot recommend ZAR enough! She can truly make your vision come to life!
