Review 16/365 Day Challenge Our 1st time coming to this Zion Market. My son had a soccer game and decided to stop by b4 heading home. They also have Kimbap fast food at the court right when you walk into the supermarket. Ended up Grabbing lunch from CM chicken at the food court. While waiting for the fried chicken order to be done i went and grabbed some KaLbi to cook during the midday. What flavor chicken we ordered ~ Garlic Soy flavor was really yummy. Tasted similar like the known fried chicken spot that offers the garlic soy flavor. ~ Garlic Spicy Mild tastes like the Garlic Soy but with the Mild spice level. Isn’t mild at all. Looks red & spicy but don’t let that scare you to order this flavor. It’s a new Flavor. Chicken is good, tender, fried to perfection and nice size. It came w a good size pickled daikon given with our chicken. The associate gave us a receipt and mentioned it'll be 15 mins to pick up. So i decided to do some shopping. Associate was really nice friendly & our order was completed as promised. The chicken spot looks clean and welcoming. Along has a delicious aroma of yummy fried chicken. This Zion is much cleaner and well organized than the Zion market in Buena Park I usually go to along w more up to date atmosphere. The aisle was not cramped and neatly displayed. The fruits , veggies looked fresh. The meat some were a bit darker color for fresh red meat color. Lots of parking out front.

I’ve been a customer of ZION Supermarket for more than 10 years. Thought I’d seen it all — until now. Around late October, I bought a pack of baby bananas. They looked fine: green, firm, promising. I figured they’d ripen in a few days. Well, after 8 or 9 days, they’re still green, still hard, and still absolutely not edible. Didn’t realize I had accidentally purchased ornamental desk plants instead of fruit. I brought them back with the original box, thinking any reasonable store would understand. But nope — “No receipt, no help.” Even though the bananas were clearly defective, the staff showed zero flexibility and even less interest. Nothing like watching a supermarket prove that their customer service ages just as poorly as their produce.

For Korean and Asian groceries in Irvine, Zion is a less costly supermarket than H-Mart, Mitsuwa, and some 99 Ranch. Many, not all, items are cheaper if u know your prices and are able to discern. Overall, fruits and vegetables are fresh and cheaper but meat and others are comparable in prices. Interior is not as bright and renovated as H-Mart but not rundown. Shopping carts are in serious need of repair or replacement because many of them don't move well. They also sell ready-to-grill marinated meats, sushi, ready-to-eat Korean food and "banchans". I recommend here over H-Mart and 99 Ranch if u r buying a lot of groceries and want more value. For meats, I prefer American branded supermarkets or Costco/Sam's because they are fresher. For fish and pork, 99 Ranch seems fresher than Zion Irvine. Also, Zion Buena Park is cleaner, fresher, and cheaper than Zion Irvine. Which Asian supermarket is better for u will depend on distance, quantity, price, and variety of selections.

After getting a fresh haircut, I stopped by Zion Market right next door, and I was pleasantly surprised! The selection of meats, sashimi, and vegetables is super fresh, and the prices are even better than H Mart’s offerings — definitely more variety too! If you love stocking up on Korean side dishes, frozen foods, and instant noodles, this place has everything you need. Inside the supermarket, to the left, there’s a Paris Baguette bakery, a Korean restaurant, and Two Dak, a fried chicken restaurant where the prices are lower compared to Pelicana nearby. They even have their own dining and seating area. If you’re tired from grocery shopping, you can have a meal or just relax with a cup of coffee before heading home. I love Zion mart and I wish it had more locations in Orange County. 📍 **Zion Market (Northwood Town Center)** 4800 Irvine Blvd, Irvine, CA 92620
