Acute Salon

I’ve been coming to Acute for over a year, and my literal only gripe is that I don’t live closer. Though it should be a testament that I drive from Plano every 6-8 weeks just to come here. Damon does my cuts, and he does an amazing job. He’s very neurodivergent friendly and never makes you feel bad for wanting minor modifications. Every time I come back, I’ll tell him what bothered me about our last cut sensory-wise and he’s always warm and receptive. He’s also a great conversationalist and I love chatting with him during my visits. Gaby does my color, and they have only gotten better at it over time. It took a bit of toner experimentation, but we settled on a beautiful toner for my blonde side that always has compliments rolling in. They do a wonderful job. The whole place is proudly queer, which makes for a very safe environment. The bathroom is even stocked with things like Plan B, menstrual products, and more for free if you mention to your stylist. The prices are also more than reasonable. I usually pay ~$60 with Damon for a trim and in the $200 range for cut + color. I love Acute and would recommend it to anyone!

If I could give 10000 stars I would. ⭐️🌟 I have not loved my hair for so long that I forgot how to. Madie has not only helped me love my hair again, and I mean really really love it, but they have also really helped me feel confident again. After I had my children my hair fell out in chunks and the texture changed completely. I had no idea what to do about my hair, so I just kind of gave up. I can’t put into words how much I love my hair now. How much confidence I have now because I love the way I look again. Mabey that sounds silly, because after all, “it’s just hair” but it was never just about my hair form me. It was entering a new phase of life and leaving an old one. Thanks to Madie, I feel like my new phase is going to be so beautiful and so bright. From the bottom of my heart Madie, thank you. 😊❤️

I've been getting my hair cut by Gaby for over a year now and they are fantastic! While the salon obviously specializes in alternative hairstyles, I get pretty boring ones because of my job (but they always look fantastic). Whether you want something super unique or something more basic (but done well) they can do it! I've also gotten the K18 treatment which was great. It took me ages to find a salon I was happy with and felt welcome in. I highly recommend this place.

Best place to get your hair done in Fort Worth. I got my perms done by Mason. I would say the hair wash done by Mason’s assistant was simply awesome. I don’t think anyone treated my hair as gentle as him🫡. Coming to Mason, he’s awesome chill guy and he’s very patient and knows what’s he’s doing. he will never let your sesh go bore. I feel like I tipped him less for what he did. I will come back in future for sure.

Not only was Nina amazing, but the environment cultivated here is also so unique and offers stylists who are passionate about what they do as well as a safe space for anybody regardless of identity! I’ve struggled in the past to find stylists who properly manage fine hair, but obviously had no issue with that here, i highly recommend. ☺️
