Anne Truitt, M.D. Skin Surgery & Aesthetic Dermatology

I highly recommend Dr. Anne Truitt. She is an incredibly thorough and knowledgeable skin specialist who truly takes the time to care for her patients. Her office staff are also exceptional—friendly, efficient, and supportive throughout the entire process. Dr. Truitt performed Mohs surgery to remove a squamous cell cancer from my right cheek. The procedure required going deep and wide to fully eliminate the cancer, but her surgical skill was outstanding. Despite the extent of the surgery, there is barely a visible scar, which speaks volumes about her expertise. I was so impressed with her work that I also chose to have a CO₂ laser treatment with her, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Dr. Truitt is professional, highly skilled, and truly one of the best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Truitt for many years. Living with my fair complexion in Southern California, and with a family history of skin cancer, finding the best dermatologist was critical! Dr. Truitt has always been extremely thorough, professional, and attentive. I’ve had Mohs surgery on my neck which turned out better than I had hoped. A very small mark that you can’t even see while removing any trace of cancer. I never miss a routine checkup and I’m always pleased when the precancerous issues are dealt with ASAP. The occasional biopsy here and there round out my treatment experience as a fair skinned person with some sun damaged skin. But I’m looking better thanks to this Dr. Truitt! The front office staff has always been kind and helpful with any of my prescription, billing, or appointment needs. It’s always nice to see the same faces and get to know the staff. When it came time for my wife to have a doctor take care of some skin problems, she also started seeing Dr. Truitt. We both agree she’s a top notch doctor and I have no problem recommending her without hesitation.

Dr. Truitt and staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and committed to skin care. I have a problem with skin cancer having many Mohs operations. I don't enjoy them, but The Doc does a good job off taking the edge off. The facilities are immaculate.

I was excited to see that this doctor had so many 5 star reviews. After being “treated” at this office, I can only assume her reviews are glowing the way they are because she has to negative ones removed. We’ll see if this one lasts. I have a scar on my lip. I got a shot of steroid in my lip a few weeks prior by a different doctor and the results were amazing. Minimal swelling, really decreased the scar and it looked great. But it takes multiple sessions. Since that doctor was in another city I decided to try Dr.Anne truitt. The first time I came in there, her PA Ms.Daly, gave me a steroid shot and charged me $120. Absolutely nothing happened. It looked exactly the same as it did the day before. I don’t know if she even injected my lip with anything but saline, but I did not get my money’s worth. I know what it’s supposed to look like from having it done previously. So I called, I told the receptionist that her PA either made a mistake or didn’t know what she was doing but I needed a redo, because as it was, these people took my money and did not give me what I paid for. I came back in, saw Dr.Truitt, she injected something? Into my lip. When I was leaving the receptionist said “wait you still have to pay” I said excuse me? I already paid for this service. She was fixing the incorrect work her PA did on me. She said the Doctor wants you to pay and you’re not going to leave until you pay at least half. So I was FORCED to pay again for a service I already paid for. When I asked why she didn’t tell me why she would be charging me BEFORE she injected me, she said “well I don’t work for free” oh but you do charge people for services that you don’t do correctly? And she knew what she was doing. It would have been as simple “we can inject again but I’ll have to charge you” she specifically did this to scam me. it gets even better than that! When I tell you my lip swelled up so bad, I needed to go to the ER. It was so swollen I could barely open my mouth, and it started turning blue and purple and small holes were popping up out of my lip. After going to another dermatologist within a few days because I was worried something was very wrong, they told me she injected too much volume, too quickly and it resulted in damage to my lip. Not only do I have to wait for my lip to resolve, it has already been 2 weeks and it is still swollen and purple, but she it did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO MY SCAR. Before I left, I requested her to write down exactly what she put in my lip and how much, so when I go to capable doctor, they will know what she did to me. I called, I left messages, nothing. Only today, 2 weeks later did I receive medical records with inaccurate information, and a medical record full of derogatory remarks about me. She implied that I was “biting my lip” and that’s why it was black and blue. HAHA this would almost be funny if this woman wasn’t a medical professional in charge of people’s faces. Even though she put 2 full pages about my “attitude” she STILL DID NOT WRITE SPECIFICALLY WHAT WAS INJECTED WHICH IS ALL I ASKED. This doctor has got to have something wrong with her mentally. And I’m not a professional, but that’s my opinion. What doctor charges someone for one service twice, completely messes up their face, and then tries to bully me into saying it’s my fault? I’m going to have to make a report to the medical board because I don’t know what this woman is doing, but it’s wrong. SHAME ON YOU TRUITT.

Dr. Truitt is an excellent diagnostician. Her office is clean and well run. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Truitt.
