Auto Repair El Mexicano

The owner (or he might just work there) Cristobal is a con artist. We went to him to get our car repaired and we gave him an engine we brought from a different (reliable) mechanic. He "fixed" and returned the car to us last November (2025). Today, January 27th, the car broke down. We went with our other mechanic, the one who bought the engine for us, he said the car broke again because the engine wasn't oiled properly. I called Cristobal to ask for the 3 month warranty my mom mentioned from him and he deflected all responsibility and even hung up on me saying he wasn't responsible, he says the other mechanic is responsible. Extremely unprofessional. If you're reading this, avoid this place at all costs and we will go to court for this. He even said he got "deported" to Mexico. How convenient

I drive a 2008 Saturn Vue that I purchased from an auction. The engine light was on and as we all know vehicles with engine lights on will NOT pass emission testing. After doing a bit of research for an auto shop that I thought would meet my needs I decided to come to El Mexicano. I was able to bring my car that same day and after a few hours I received a call from Carlos letting me know what issues the car had and how much it was going to cost to fix the issues. I was highly pleased with the service, attentiveness, price and how fast they got my vehicle finished. After agreeing on the price Carlos told me he would get to working on the vehicle the next day. So I left my car and received a call that the vehicle was ready the day after. My car was gone for literally 2 days! The engine light was fixed. They went above and beyond to meet my needs (and my boyfriends) I will be coming back for ANY services that our cars may need n the future, Thank you!

Friendly staff but replaced parts without authorization and expected me to pay. I had only requested for them to look for any issues and call me. They proceed to replace parts and then call. Then when I requested to see the parts they …

They do a good job. But it takes a long time to get the job done maybe because of communication problem.
