I like their banh mi. Didn’t try anything so not sure about other foods. Have a bunch of old men sitting outside smoking and chilling. Sometimes they’re playing Chinese chess inside.

I always get the grilled pork banh mi. Their Vietnamese iced coffee was strong. Gave me the jitters afterwards 😆

While it’s not a large establishment, it offers a decent amount of seating, making it a convenient spot for a quick bite. I tried their combination sandwich, which was solid overall. The highlight is definitely the toasted bun—crispy on the outside yet perfectly soft on the inside. Unlike some other bánh mì places where the bread can be so hard it’s uncomfortable to eat, this one maintained its ideal texture even after an hour when I got home. However, while the sandwich had all the right ingredients, it lacked a bit of flavor, which stopped it from being a perfect 10 for me. I look forward to trying their pork sandwich next time to see if it stands out more. They also offer rice plates and a variety of other sandwiches, along with an impressive selection of drinks. The two large coolers are stocked with a variety of canned beverages, including Vietnamese coffee, which is always a plus. One standout feature is their assortment of Vietnamese snacks—a rare find in most places. From dried olives to spicy plums and other authentic treats, they’ve dedicated two large tables to these items, which instantly drew my attention. They also stock specialty sausages and candies, especially for Lunar New Year, making it a great place to pick up festive goodies. The service is friendly, though there’s usually just one person at the counter, so if it’s busy, don’t expect super-fast turnaround times. That said, the welcoming attitude makes up for any delays. I wouldn’t call their sandwiches the best I’ve had, but they’re good enough to warrant a return visit to try more items. Plus, the variety of snacks and festive options makes Bel-Air Sandwich Shop an interesting spot worth checking out.

There was a Asian women with a red knitt type thing on today and she had a black hat she was acting like we weren’t gonna pay and she has seen us before we asked for egg rolls and she gave us something we didn’t ask for and the sandwiches …
